Is it worth the money?
Hi everyone,
I have been searching for a clean and standard classic turbo 2000,
i have found one aside from a strut brace and a prodrive back box its standard, has one owner from new fsh and 67k, the paintwork in excellent condition and havnt found a spot of rust but its 5988 seems rather expensive to me but unsure as have noticed that the price on subarus have risen over the last couple of years. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'd say no. At £6k it would still need things doing to it - whilst there's no rust at the moment it will inevitably happen. You can get tidy examples for less than half the price which would leave you £3k to sort anything that needs doing over time.
I think its near the money. As an investment and weekend car it could be a smart purchase. As with any classic car a couple of winters as daily transport will kill it. I would like something like that in may garage along side my modified turbo nutter JDM. A bog standard unmolested car like that gets as much but maybe a different type of appreciation from enthusiasts.
What about this one, only a few thousand miles more and half the price.

i managed to get mine for £4k. It had done 54k, spotless not abused and totally standard looking. Ive spent another £800 getting it running right. If you kepp looking im sure you will find one cheaper
Advert is still there. Strong money now, but I suspect in a few years time it'll seem like a steal. Asking prices are significantly higher than last year for low mileage standard cars. Not sure about wrapping these cars in cotton wool, they're meant to be driven. Mine had 48k miles when I got it a year ago (for less than half the money) and I've put 12k miles on it since, rain and shine. I look after it obsessively though, with almost weekly inspections for any sign of rust or water ingress, and constant cleaning and waxoyling.
Try and find a '99-'00 if you can, they've got 4 pot brakes and many other improvements.

It's a fine example a my 00 would of been better as it would have the colour coded handles and sills but there is not many around
Just buy it as it will appreciate in value
The show season is now over but years ago there was loads if classics at shows
I've only seen a couple this year at all the shows I've atended with te Greenwagon
And people have flocked to see mine as they are so rare especially in mica green
Just buy it as it will appreciate in value

No comparison between the op car and that.
