Default 2004 WRX Bottom end gone :-( advice

Hello, 1st post here and I am gonna plunge you in at the deepend!

Brought a WRX 2004 about 2 years ago and last week I returned from a epic trip to Las Vegas :-) I went out in my car the following day and started to hear a noise from the engine bay that got worse so stopped the car and got the RAC to recover me home.

Then I got it low loaded to a garage and they took engine apart to find the bottom end has gone. (garage usually specialize in body work but I had body work done on this car with them so they are just trying to help me out.

Now the place is humming and haring over what its gonna cost me, and out here in the Fens (norfolk) there is not alot of places that can sort these cars out.

I am just looking for advise or anyone who knows someone or a reputable company I can get an engine from or have the car repaired at.

Any advice please as I am carless now :-( I do have a MX5 but even thats just failed the MOT yesterday to I am up the creek with a hole in my canoe and without a paddle at the moment!
