Default 2008 hawkeye no boost what so ever

Good afternoon guys... I've got a 2008 Hawkeye and I've got no boost what so ever. I've taken all the IC off and checked all boost pipes and everything looks fine. The actuator is free so that's not seized up either. The car runs smooth straight through the revs but zero boost. Can't even here the turbo trying to spool up. Check engine light isn't on and has no codes/faults stored. Any ideas?

Daft question but do you have a boost gauge that's showing no pressure? Or does it just feel 'limp'?

Any mods? Changed anything recently?

Are you able to reset the ECU and then drive to see if the ECU is in limp mode? (You'll only get actuator pressure, which is low). If you reset the ECU the boost should come back, even if it's only for a while as the ECU might be detecting something it doesn't like. In my case this is knock and you don't get a CEL, it just drives rough. If I reset I get full power for a while then the ECU notices the knock and puts it back into limp mode.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. No there's not a boost guage fitted I'm just going by the noise and feel. The car is completely standard bar the PPP upgrade. The car has been working fine until the car was started the one day and instantly drove like this.

Without a PC and VAG-COM cable, yeah! Need to leave it off a little while in my experience.

from what i've read and understand, leaving the neg off will only reset the "lernt" memory, it won't reset the factory base map

Bit of an update... Had the neg lead off for best part of two hours. Just been out for a spin and no difference. But this time I kept my foot pinned to the deck in 2nd and noticed a slight chattering noise which I'm pretty sure it's the turbo trying to kick in and she won't rev over 4.5k. Parked back up in the yard and tried to rev it again and it won't go over 5k. No smoke out the back at all but am now wondering would a blocked cat produce these symptoms?

If it doesn't want to rev over 4.5k, It's in safe mode for some reason.

If it was running in safe mode would it not throw the check engine light?

I'd have thought so but it being limited to 4.5k tells me it is in safe mode.

If I were you I'd get it checked over.

It's as if it physically can't rev past that. It struggles to get there which is why I'm thinking possibly a blocked cat?

Is the cat getting extremely hot compared to exhaust section after? This would be sign its blocked. My friend had an old cavalier that had blocked cat (which glowed red lol) and it was under powered

If it was in safe mode then the CEL would be in. I had this in my hawkeye once.

I had this in my 2006 Hawkeye. Turns out it was crapola fuel from Tescos. Happened twice o the bounce...my car was mapped for V power though so makes sense. If you have PPP it might need better fuel....
