Default Oil Cooler install with FMIC

I am going to buy an oil cooler - I live in Oz and the ambient air temps can exceed 40 c in the summer . A conventional install is obstructed by my FMIC.
Is there an alternative position for the OC ?

Doesn't it empty and need refilling when you switch the car on and off ? As gravity would cause it to empty to its lowest point surly ?

I'd agree if a line pops it sprays hot oil over the engine.

No different to a oil line popping off a glowing hot turbo

And no the fluid will stay where it is if there's a stat (it will create a capillary)

fitted mine behind the foglight covers (gc8), drilled some holes in those so that it gets plenty of cool air.
