Hi All

Looking at a scooby and in the service book the car has missed its 40,000 miles/ 48 months service schedule however the it has been serviced for the next following years upto 2015. Is this anything to be worried about.

Wouldn't worry me at all, you have to remember many subarus are owned by enthusiasts and self servicing done (which 99% of the time is better than a stamp).

Aslong as belts etc are in order and been changed as required, the car is clean and drives well, i don't see it as an issue.

It could be worse, it could have NO service history!

Wouldn't be an issue for me as long as their is enough evidence to prove the car has been well maintained.

I recently sold my Blobeye with 11 stamps, oil changed anywhere between 3,500 & 5,000 miles but I couldn't find the receipt for an oil change although I know I had it carried out. Was honest with the buyer & he was cool with it because the car spoke for itself.

You could buy a car with tons of stamps an receipts and it be a dog, you could buy a car with nothing and it be perfect.

Make an informed decision mate. Bottom line, buying a car is ALWAYS a risk, infact buying anything there's ALWAYS a risk, just do as much as you can to minimise it, or buy a bicycle.
