I have a Bug Sti 2002 and am looking to get a remap and hit the 400bhp mark but after doing a lot of research, I don't know what I need and what I don't.

I already have a
FMIC
Induction Kit
Walbro 255
Standard Pink Injectors
Standard Headers
Standard Turbo, VF34 , or am i wrong?
Fully decatted Nur Spec exhaust.

Handling and Brakes have been upgraded to suit.

So what do I need to achieve this power safely??

vf35 is standard.

turbo (sc42 or similar) and bigger injectors may well get close, but headers and inlet pipe will help

try and get some rcm headers or a set of ported headers with a harvey up-pipe from alyn@asperformance,get it heat wrapped aswell,this will all help the bigger turbo to spool

and get some ngkpfr7b plugs aswell

650cc injectors
ported standard manifold with harvey up pipe (alyn as performance)
turbo such as a sc42 or mdx321h
Then a remap will see you north of 400 comfortably

turbo will be a vf35 bud if its a uk sti. if 400bhp is the target you are def looking at a turbo upgrade and probably injectors as well. sc38 ,sc42 or maybe an 18 or 20 g. ported headers might be a good idea as well. have any of the parts you mention been fitted already?

So is a Syvecs ECU needed as well and boost a 3 port?

Syvecs is a nicety not a necessity at that level but that is all imo

Wow, if I didn't ask, i would have thought it was a must.

3 bar map sensor or an external boost controller such an apexi avcr will deal with that issue and retain the standard ecu

as banny said not a necessity. carberry rom is open source software used on your existing ecu and can run using speed density instead of a maf and also has all the trimmings like anti lag and launch control etc.

Am guessing any 3 Bar map sensor will do?

I have an STi Prodrive, didn't they come with a 3 port boost solenoid anyway??

i think it may have m8. carberry lets you use any 3 bar map sensor.

Boost solenoid controls the boost, the map sensor measures the amount of boost. two different things not one and the same

Alcatek would be a cheaper option than syvecs as well

Strong engines on these cars but just remember you're bumping the power up massively on a 13-14 year old car.
