I have a set of defi gauges in the middle of the dash oil temp and pressure and turbo, I also have a flocked a pillar with a moulded pod in it, to fill this what gauge is most recommended for a forged 2.5 cdb with rotated gt35

 

Got to be the oil pressure as once that's gone so is your engine

That's the most important move that to a prime location and fit whatever gauge you fancy

With the mods you've stated your probably gonna be above 2bar?

Your defi can only read upto that might be worth while investing in a toucan

I have an oil pressure gauge, was more thinking water temp, air fuel ratio exhaust temp etc

 

Well a toucan with all the sensors will give you more than defi gauges can do

What ecu are you running?

With syvecs you can select an auto cut off for oil pressure

Tbh the defi gauges are for show more than anything else (though I love my genomes) and had them on my 470 blob also

The afr gauge you'll be hard to find a 60mm the best (aem) only do 52mm

I've done this.

Mine is a forged 2.5, I fitted a fuel pressure gauge, which, in Defi form, can be linked to the boost to show DIFFERENTIAL pressure, ie: how far ABOVE manifold pressure the fuel pressure is...and it should be constant.

So you can set the alarm to within 0.2 bar. If it goes off, foot off, or risk running lean.

Mine kept sounding the alarm. Investigation showed a split vacuum hose leaking air into the system, so making it run lean.
Without the f/p gauge, the car would have been detting.

The second one on mine is a water temperature gauge, it's amazingly accurate compared to the stock item, and VERY interesting to see how far the oil temperature lags the water temperature

 

interesting suggestions, I am on standard ecu at the moment, waiting for alcatek to do a dbw version or go syvecs or motec perhaps

 

The setting of one gauge to the other for differential relies on the control box. You hold down two buttons at once, and a red LED comes on.........should be green really, but red it is.

Folk get in the car and say, "You've got a red warning light here bud........."

if I could be arsed I'd swap it for a green one.
