I'm in the market for a new clutch... Also planning a lightened flywheel..

Never had to buy a new clutch before so not really sure what I'm looking for.
Was looking at the exeedy ones, but after reading the few posts before this I'm alittle wary.

i have a 2005 widetrack sti 6speed. Running 330bhp.
I don't plan on any track days nor do I dump the clutch on starts.

Just after a solid upgrade from oem and a diet for the flywheel.

Any help would be much appreciated.

 

on a 6spd car at 330 bhp a std clutch is more than capable and very cost effective, next step would be a "pink" Exedy and having been a main distributor for 10yrs+ i have to say that we genuinely rarely if ever have issues that aren't simply down to poor fitting or flywheel surface issues..........

we also do various other manufacturers as required and are VERY competitive on price with stock on the shelf ready to go

 

Could I use a lightened fly wheel on a standard clutch??

Would there be a noticeable difference between lightened and non.

I have no plans in the near future of increasing the power, maybe standard is the way to go.

 

you could although all depend son the quality/weight of the flywheel, your use, etc. as to wether its worthwhile

Exedy are having issues, no getting away from it.

We probably stock more clutches for both trade and retail than any other Impreza specialist in the UK.

Gotta say my Pink box is lovely - and Alyn, thanks for all the advise regarding the suspension parts, and exhaust setup e.t.c. - sorry to go off topic there :-)
