LOL sorry im asking if anyone intrested in doing the job for me mechanics or anyone whos done this before. I.e rotating the manifold.

 

That will be a subaru Mechanic/technician or tuner, Why would you let someone else have a bash it for cheap, It`ll only go pear shaped and when you call them back to fix it, They will say "Well i not a fcukin mechanic",

There is a lot more to it than just reversing the inlet, You have to move the altenator...remove the aircon....get custom pipes made to suit etc...

 

Do you mean rotate the inlet? You can do it yourself. Matty at mb developments supplies the alternator brackets and the rear you can do yourself

 

because cheap is always good if you can get it. just had a full front end respray today cost me £0 which makes me even happier with it ha. and yea birchy that's what i wanna do. iv been looking at the process it doesn't seem hard at all really. ive seen the brackets too that matty does.

Just turn it round, and get one of the kits available to relocate the alternator.

You'll have to relocate the header tank though, and possibly extend some of the wiring for the TPS, ISCV. That's about it, off the top of my head.

 

Apart from the custom fabrication of intercooler and intake piping :P

 

People sayings it's easy are all well and good but it depends on the individual and their ability/tools. I wouldn't say this is a basic or easy mod. It's not rocket science but there is quite a bit to it as well as a bit or trial and error. Could easily **** it all up with a lack of skill or knowledge.

You will have to rewire some stuff, rerun the fuel lines, fiddle around getting the intake pipe to fit under the lower side of the manifold which leaves much less space, make up the pipes to the intercooler, flip the alt, relocate the header and water pipes etc

I assume you have a fmic already? Not worth the work IMO unless in conjunction with lots of other stuff.

 

Having been there and done this it's a total ball ache.
All done myself.
Carried out on a V5/V6
Turned it around and it hit the bonnet. You can cut the ribbing out of the bonnet but I felt that was a bit rough.
So cut out the throttle body tilted it and lowered slightly.
You can see it here compared to a standard manifold


Also welded on a boss for the brake vacuum line so it was on the correct side.

Also required the wiring for the ICV and TPS extending.
Braket to be made for the throttle cable
Custom intercooler pipe work.
New silicone hoses
Had to buy a Braket for moving the alternator and try a few different idlers to get
It to work correctly and not shred belts
Looked good when finished but would not do it again

 

I wont gepodise 500rpm if not needed but i really like the look of fmic so its a must to reduce lag. How much would this cost roughly at a garage?
