Default Suspect servicing

Collected the car yesterday after being serviced. One of the jobs on the service list was to replace the coolant.
While waiting at the garage to pick the car up one of the lads there went out and opened the bonnet of our car. I went out to check everything was ok. He was topping up the header tank with blue coolant mixture.
Paid the bill and went home.
Wife and I went to get some fuel yesterday evening, while waiting on the forecourt for my wife in the shop, thought I'd give the car a once over under the lights.
Given that the header was topped up with blue coolant, seem a bit baffled that the coolant in the reservoir in front of the rad is still red

I went to close the bonnet, to discover that the bonnet stay clip has mysteriously vanished

Have you called the garage that did the service to ask about all that?

No I haven't, it's a fair trek from mine to where I had the service done, so pointless phoning them if they are going to tell me to bring it back. I know the coolant was changed fairly recently as had a new rad put in, and there is a subaru dealer 50yds from my parents house so have ordered a new clip for two quid.

Just wondered if people thought that it sounded like they haven't changed the coolant.

Overfilled engine oil (1 litre)
Underfilled Gearbox oil reading minimum with notchy gearchange
Damaged alloy wheel
Leaking sump plug
Leaking fuel filter to name a few. All in the last 3 years.

Nobody gives a **** about your car because it aint theres. Just a lump of metal to them. Over the years ive become totally disspondant with garages to the point where it isn't worth having a car you care about anymore.

And my dealings have been with all manner of garages including Specialist, Main dealer and run of the mill mechanics, and my conclusion is there either incompetent and, or just don't care.

Agreed, but they don't care half as much as they would want you to believe, or more to the point what you want to believe.

Just curious why are you having a coolant change when you recently had a new rad?? As surely the coolant change was done then?? Just an observation.

When I say recently I mean well within the scheduled coolant change interval.
Coolant change was part of the service package that I opted for
