I have got to fit some new rear drop links and D bushes and want to clean up the original bar and give it a coat of Hammerite. Is there any issue with driving without the bar fitted for a day or two? Just while the paint dries?
Obviously I won't be driving fast.

I'm going to remove the front anti roll bar as well and both of them powder coated.
I'm guessing it should be fine for a week or two?

I really wouldn't expect it to handle very well at all with both removed and I would imagine that it could be quite dangerous at any sort of speed. Can't you source spares and get those powder coated then swap them over?
Why would it be dangerous, all you'll end up with is the natural handling balance of the chassis itself.
