Default 70mm or 82mm oil filter?

I'm going buy some oil and filter in advance while ECP has a deal on. Thing is, do I have a 82mm or 70mm filter? both are listed for my car (Classic UK MY00)

(I've tried various searches but I'm sure this must come up a lot?)

cheers

Thought it was pretty much one size fits all. The usual argument is blue or black.

If you look at the rcm website or advanced automives through eBay they have them listed and should go in to more detail.

says on RCM "RCM High performance oil filter for all EJ20, EJ25 engines". Thats odd innit. You've got to love ECP adding complexity to a simple thing!

Either will fit, you only need the smaller one on Hawkeye WRX's, with the angled modine cooler.

Really? 10mm is a bit of a difference!
To add to the confusion I just went out and measured the filter on the car. Its actually 65mm Diameter... Think I'll plump for the 70mm and see what size it really is.

I use Fram PH6811 on all my builds, as long as the filter is no thinner than 63mm as that's the smallest the o ring od is for sealing.
