Question

A friend of mine recently saw an advert in the paper for the new RS Focus. He has since been to his local garage who were very unknowledgeable about the detail of this new car. Has anyone got any idea about Engine size, Performance, Cost and launch date.

Cheers

Rob

I think the only important thing is it is front wheel drive and the first time it rains you will regret not buying a Scoob ( or waiting for the Cosworth ). My opinion of course.

My son, Chris has been waiting and waiting for positive news of when Ford intend to market the Focus Cossie. No one seems to have a clue! I think Ford have missed the boat big time He`s getting so p***ed off that he is now seriously considering an EVO V11 or an EVO V1 Makinnen at the right price. (won`t consider a Scoob `cos the `ole mans got one!)
Mind you the Focus Cosworth should be a cracker WHEN it finally appears?

I think the Cosworth has been put back until the new Focus arrives, 2004

The 4wd Cosworth won't happen until the new Focus late '03 or 04.

A study was done to see if it was feasible to re-engineer the current floorpan for 4wd. It wasn't - the costs were too high. It also would have meant scrapping Ford's much plugged control blade rear suspension.

The new model will be engineered with 4wd in mind from the beginning as it will spawn a mini MPV, sports crossover models etc.
