PTMW! is now the proud wearer of a set of P1 Gas Discharge Spotlights
Question?
Does PTMW! need the P1 Lip Spoiler too or not?
On a practical level, low car + low lip spoiler = kerbing & damage
Possibly contemplate a removable lip spoiler...
Comments & views please on what PTMW! should do
Just to aid your decisions, here are a few pics...

Sorry for cr@p quality - vid camera & low light

PTMW,
A friend of mine had one on his MY00, and found it got stone chipped very easily, due presumably to its proximity to the road.
He took it off resprayed it, refitted it, and 6 weeks later took it off for good.
He likes his car to be concours standard, and was unable to stop the lipspoiler from looking battered.
From the number of posts on here regarding P1 spoiler paint chipping problems, the choice is up to you.
It may well improve aerodynamics, and aesthetics, but may well start to look tatty, very quickly, and then that reflects (unfairly I believe) on the publics overall perception of the condition of the car.
Your car may well be 100% mechanically and bodywork, but with a pot marked spoiler, the whole effect can be ruined.
Cheers MTR

Well, I've now got the car to do a get-a-way in
Nah! s/hand kit but I've just found out how much the wife has spent in Country Casuals

Scoobyboy
You are indeed correct sir -however I have obtained a set of P1 Gas Discharge lights - come round a corner & I'll dazzle you

I've also got a spare set of normal P1 spots & I'm planning to put them in the Vectra...

I reckon that lip spoiler will be the mutts nuts. Go for it.
If you are concerned about scratching it, then do what I did and add some carbon trim around the lower edge. It works well and mine has stayed looking well since.

Kurt

Thanks for all your help peeps
in particular Avi
I have to say that it's got to be done
Having seen Avi's mock-up & parked next to a P1 @ Castle Coombe yesterday, it is something I've really got to do
More pictures are sure to follow

Various places but all from the bbs
These were "unseen" deals with people u/grading/selling etc & me being cheeky
May have a set of P1 spots (standard) for sale on behalf of someone, so keep an eye out. Problem is, you'll still need surrounds & mounting brackets (various)
