1. Does not need to be done at a dealer.

2. Some MOT places are more through than others.

I'm happy to do it for you in Enfield.

Only thing you have to watch is that they don't to the brake test on a two wheel roller as mine was.. no damage but could have damaged the centre diff.. needs to ideally be a four wheel roller job or no brake test done.

Last time I had a scooby MOT'd they took it for a drive with a little meter sat in the passenger footwell to do the braking part of the test. Mine was a non turbo so I had no worries about them caning it while they had it.

If they road test it, make sure you go with them. I definately am next time, my clutch has suffered from vibration on take up ever since my last MOT

The MOT before they tried to put it on 2-wheel rollers, when it hopped off the guy testing it came over and said "Is this four wheel drive mate?". Not very bright, as he'd been under the car the previous 30 mins, you think he might have noticed...

Blimey, didn't realise I joined that long ago. Have had a couple of scooby-less years driving something sensible and economical. Was all I could stand. One newly acquired Series McRae later and all I seem to see are petrol stations, potential modifications and the needle whizzing past 3000 revs. Love it.

Cool , although I may need to follow your lead soon and get something sensible for a while - my commute got a lot longer this year, and I'm now the old barrons bestest mate

Dave,

I told Rob to take it to you because I know you are very strict on emmissions and it will only pass if it's in tip top condition with all the Cats still in place........

Cement man,

I think the centre diff works differently...

Being an off roader it is meant to have some wheels going faster than the other two etc..

Take it to Lavender Hill Subaru, Shark/Dave will look after you, and the car!

Just dont let him post the invoice/warranty book out (hint hint) to you as it might take a while!

Watch it young lady, just 'cos Dave likes it, doesn't mean we all do

You just keep your spanking in private between you and Dave
