Default Gravel diffs?

I've just put a deposit a impreza wrx sti spec c which has just come from japan & it has gravel diffs! Are they suitable for the road as I can't imagine them been?

Gravel diffs?!
Yeah ok....
I take it you purchased that 16 inch motorsport version then?
Personally I would have avoided it because its the motor sport version (it lacks quite a few mechanical goodies you get on the 17 inch like brembo's, A-DCCD, engine/transmission oil coolers etc) and as you can see by the door cards, the interior isnt original (the standard one is worse than a Justy's ) so the black/blue has been added later (you need the door cards for it).
I hope you got her cheap

Tony

Only difference in the diffs would be the ratio ( IMO). Gravel diff would be higher ratio so lower top speed but better acceleration. On the road your engine would be pulling more revs at normal driving speeds.

Is the Motorsport version good? If it's got 46k miles is this worth 10k?

Mate, seriously, do some research before you plunge into Impreza ownership or take someone with you before you waste anymore cash on deposits. And actually, I wouldn't bother with deposits. Just take the cash with you. If you like it and it is a straight motor, go for it.

Never put a deposit down for a car you have never seen.

What do you actually want out of an impreza. Getting very confused!

As i said in the other thread, i wouldnt pay 7k for a 16 inch version, they are just not desirable so you will lose money on it.
