Default Clutch Gearbox diff oil.

My clutch pedal gone stiff so will be fitting a new one.
Can somebody please advise on the correct gearbox oil and diff oil.

Also i am a bit confused on the best grade of clutch to go for.
Seems EXEDY is the one popping up the most,it is a hawkeye gb270 Running standard and i drive moderately.
After trawling the net there seems to be a few types can anybody with expeirence point me in the right direction to get one from.

Exedy is the clutch that comes as standard with the Subaru so a Exedy pink box would be a perfect upgrade and be able to take the power comfortably, while still performing as the O.E clutch, gear oil about 5 litres will do both 75w-90 motul, millers etc..,those oil's are superb.SJ.

Castrol Syntrax which I think is now called Castrol Universal. Excellent stuff.

I got a clutch from europarts this morning Exedy 240 with vat thankyou for advise on oil.
My gearbox works fine but does have a whine.I do have a spare box but due to the cost of them 2nd hand would rather try and fix mine rather than just scrap it.Popped into pole position, the lad was ok,said he didnt need to remove the box to change the bearing he suspected was the problem,I am thinking it is probably best to drop him my box down while its out.

If your gearbox has a whine , use redline shockproof oil from opie

5w40 at least personally better with 10w50 as 2.5 runs hotter

Another thing to add is that you do not need a gear oil which has LSD additives. The synchros will be too slippery to work properly. A good gear oil 75W-90 will work for the box and the diff.

Motul Gear 300 has been proven to work very well with the 5 speed gearbox.
