Default A2 closed at night from M25 junction to A2260?

Anyone confirm?

Until 16th April, according to roadwatch.

I don't suppose their is a posted diversion, or are they trying once again to push everyone onto the awful M20, and then queue right across the front at Dover, probably an hour, to get onto the docks?

M20 is okay though

Is this just night time only? As I'm off to Kent Saturday.

I've had it a few nights lately. If you come off at the m25 and take the dartford turning, turn right at the first roundabout and head towards bluewater, you can then come back onto the A2 from bluewater. I'll be able to confirm whether it's shut or not about 3.30 in the morning.

Definitely closed tonight. But couldn't see any signs warning of other closure dates.

Thanks.

It's on t'internet (http://www.trafficengland.com/disrup...spx?ct=true#ds) as being 17/03 to 16/04, every night, eastbound only, with two slips closed on 05/04 at the A28.

Was there any posted diversion you could see, or was it M20 assumed?

If it's the latter, I'm thinking of coming off the motorway after the bridge, southbound at J1b, turning right over the motorway, then taking the B260 at the first roundabout, left towards Darenth, forking left again at Green Street, and rejoining the A2 at just before Gravesend?

Or any other suggestions from anyone?
Friday night I can imagine the M20 as being wall to wall lorries if the A2 is closed there........

No posted diversion that I could see. Just come off at the m25, take the first exit towards dartford, turn right at the roundabout onto the a296 princes road, follow that all the way and you'll come back onto the A2. So far it's only been shut for 1 night here and there.

That would APPEAR to take me back on at the junction it's closed up to......I wondered if I'd be able to get on again?

It brings you back on just before that junction, but I've had no problems so far including this morning. It looks like they're just messing around near the expansion gaps where the m25 slip roads join the A2, they've been doing the opposite direction at night for a while.

Closed again tonight. Looks like it could be for a while as you say. It's fine to go the way I said though. The sign posted diversion is very confusing.

Done your route off Goggle Earth including road signs and printed it out for the wife to read to me, since she can't follow a map....
