Changing from t004 to a vf28
Any tips would be helpful

Just bought a forester and on the way back the turbo went luckily I had a replacement , it's a fiddly job but if you can hold a spanner it's straight forward what car is it ? Firstly disconnect the battery remove intercooler disconnect vac lines to turbo , jack if up and use axle stands undo the down pipe and bolts holding it onto the gearbox if the heat shield is off all good if not take it off and bin it these bolts are usually rusty and can be a pain!

Get something to bung up the oil feed when you disconnect on top and water feeds on the side other wise the system will need bleeding again like mine did disconnect the inlet pipe and remove the diwn pipe bolts from turbo be careful here as not to round the 14 mm nuts as I did be handy to have a nut extractor here just in case . Drop away the down pipe then to undo the 3, bolts holding the turbo to up pipe carefully lift out and replace .

It's a bit of a pig but I've changed a few now so comes easy as the more you do good luck any problems give me a shout .
