The Vortex is bloody loud, probably asloud or louder than the Cobra dustbin!

Is the rest of your system deferred? If you have a resonated centre section, changing this to a non-resonated pipe will give a nice increase in noise.

That's exactly what I've got. You sure you're not deaf!

If your car is your avatar? I had an HKS Hyper exhaust and its an excellent one as its one of the lowest DB exhausts I have had while still maintaining a good sound, I swapped mine for a Miltek exhaust which had to be custom made for my car but it only dropped 3 db on full chant in my car at the track.

The HKS hyper is an excellnt exhaust for a road car

Why do you think I quoted two exhausts, with my car being very high power I have spent a fortune trying to make it sound quiet. The HKS hyper at elvington at 4500rpm was 102db's but then I swapped to Miltek with custom fit and it was 99db at Elvington.

Miltek is the lowest reading exhaust you can find but the HKS hyper is one of the lowest reading exhaust you will find.

I have had loads of exhausts on my car and these are the two most sensible ones you can have but they will still annoy the neighbours!

Just so you know a modified Impreza will be noisy no matter which exhaust you fit

Right guys, I've gone and got a ninja 2 back box, put it on and sitting in the car its ok, you can hear it but you can any exhaust, and it gives a nice deep rumble when driving around. Gonna give it a go for a while and see how it goes.
