Hi Eggy,

I have done some reading up on this and I am lead to believe that a ET35 8.75" 18" wheel should fit widetrack Newage STI's ok. (Just). The Newage WRX and non-widetrack may need camber bolts fitted to adjust the tuck and worst case a slight inner lip roll on the rear.

Using the wheel rim calculator at the top of this page it calculates that the difference between the ET35 8.75" 18" wheel and your choice would mean your 17" 8.25" ET35 wheel would by 6.35mm further into the wheel arch (6.35mm less chance of catching). However, the Bronze looks like it is only available in ET25 which means it will be 3.65mm further out of the arch than the 18" wheel.

Just calculated your wheels will be 22.52mm further out from the current setup.

the et35 17x8.25 5x100 version in flat black..The outer rim will poke out 22.5mm more than before.

so. 2.25cm i'm sure a bit more camber can fix that/worse case roll arches.. go on put me on the list.. i'll spray them bronze myself as ive got left over paint too

Out of curiosity you say the deal includes only centre caps and valves - do these need spigot rings to fit as well

 

I should think they would come with spigot rings to suit a Subaru fitment as they are advertised as Subaru fitment wheels on their site. I will send an email to Japshop to confirm.

Hi all,

Just checked with supplier and this deal that k_duraman arranged does not include spiggot rings. It is just for the wheels, centre caps & valves as my details on the list indicate.

They do hold stock of spiggot rings and can supply 56.1mm subaru rings for £2.50 each.

Also, they import and sell a massive amount of wheels and stock is changing daily. As I was on the phone there were other orders being taken for XXR wheels. I will return PMs about specific requirements when I can (as this seems to be absorbing all of my work time now).

All I can say is that generally speaking the lists posted will change, but all varients on the list will either be in stock or due to arrive in this Friday, in the next shipment in 4 weeks, or shipment after that.

Japshop are happy to take an order & payment as part of this cheap group buy deal to reserve your stock & ship as soon as the wheels are in the UK. So you can get the benefit of the saving!

 

This is becoming more dubious every time someone asks a question. This is my view, but one based upon years of modifying cars...

If you buy a wheel to fit a car it should come with everything you need for it to fit that car; that includes spigot rings and nuts if the OE ones are not suitable. On this GB you now have to factor in buying these extras that have seen supplied with every set of wheels I have ever bought before which suddenly bumps the price back to pretty much the original selling price. What other charges have we not been told about such as credit card fees or paypal fees

Secondly, I can imagine JapShop will be over the moon to take everyones money on the premise that eventually the wheels will be in stock. Again, I would expect a nominal deposit to be taken - non-refundable if the deal is as agreed and I pull out - but I would not expect payment to be taken in full until the wheels are in stock and ready for despatch.

I going to think long and hard about this today whilst I cut a hole in my bonnet but TBH I think I'll probably go elsewhere and pay a bit extra for a better all round package

 

Confirmed with supplier that the list is correct unfortunately for you. XXR530/18x8.75/ET20 are NOT available in gold. Sorry. There will be no more of this spec/colour option shipped to the UK. They will only be shipping this size in Bronze or flat black.
