BBS dealers in NW?
To be fair I don't think it's jealousy, more just that SN is a lot more insular about other marques than many other forums. Just the other day on the Merc forum we were discussing Subarus and not one person slagged them off, quite the opposite. While SN has a good number of true petrolheads it also has a fair number of people who can't see past a Scoob and know very little about other marques.
Most people debadge to make a bottom of the range car look possibly like something a little more up the range. In my case I did it for a styling exercise, I just prefer the clean look of the car without AMG, SL, V8 Kompressor badges all over it. I know what it is and if someone else wants to think I am in a low ened model then crack on, not bothered frankly
Yes that is not nice to come back to.... I had a Golf at the height of the Beastie Boys' popularity.... I gave up in the end!
It is.... until it goes wrong LOL!
I never know.
I don't know much about these things, but that BBS CH-R look cool! LMs have too many unnecessary spokes imo. It would take you all day and all night to clean them. I'm sure you have better things to do etc.
I think I had a K&N Filter bought and fitted in by Demon Tweeks, in my Scooby. Very Fast and Furious type of place. Its location seemed to put me off. Other than that, I didn't know what all I could do to my car with the things they displayed. Stickers had given it extra 20 bhp, anyway.

Yeah, it's randomly in the middle of the industrial estate, but the access roads have improved massively recently. There's literally nowhere else to go and nothing else to do, other than smell the cornflakes toasting from Kellogs, except turn round and go home again, which is a bit naff if you've travelled a bit to get there.
Although, it is wrexham, so you'd probably want to leave ASAP!
Only 20bhp extra?! Lol

I drive past Wrexham every day to go to my work locations in another county. Also, I've worked in Wrexham in past quite a bit. I was in Island Green today after work to buy some stuff, and a parker gave away his parking ticket to me upon his departure. It had an hour and a half left on it. But can you believe that it slipped through bleddy gap between the dashboard and the windscreen of my stupid car!
I had to buy my own ticket, unfortunately. Anyway, I got pretty file holders and cube bookcases of my choice there, so I was happy again.
Moral of this tale is Wrexham has its uses in small dosages, I agree. I only told you about that parking ticket because I needed to vent.
Lol!
Tbh, I really don't mind wrexham, people are a lot more down to earth and polite than Chester, but like you say, small doses!! Can't be a bit depressing and dull!
How annoying about the parking ticket, I've found people will often give you their tickets, which is nice. But, it is about £2 an hour cheaper to park than Chester, and much more spaces to park in!!
Did know you were from up this way :-)

Car parking charges do my head in in your fancy Chester. The last time I regretted was when I took my kid to the Chester coach station. I left the car opposite to the race course car park. Cost me 4 quid to park for 10 mins. When I came back to the car, I gave away my ticket to someone else; thinking that what goes around comes around. On one of the occasions after that I parked my car right outside the uni because there were no spaces left. I was to be out in 5 mins, but I took an hour, as I got asked to stay for lunch. When I got out, I found whopping 70 quid fine on my car.
Never again. Last 35 quid fine was in Mold for unauthorised road side parking on flipping Sunday! Unbelievable! I thought they'd never charge more than a tenner in a half sleepy place like Mold. But there you go. I do like Chester.
Lol!!
I meant to say I 'didn't' realise you were from up this end.
I wouldn't expect a parking ticket anywhere in north Wales!!!!!
I've had a couple in Chester though!
I used to work in town and could never find parking and the pay and display was £6 a day, so I took my chances one day.
Parking ticket within 5minutes!! That was either £50 or £70! Wasn't happy!!

Well you do now, so when do we meet up? We can go shopping in Chester, if you like. I'll buy you Haribo, and you can buy me a packet of Werthers.
Only joshing, so don't feel intimidated, Ellie. Although I have to say that I do not bite, nor am I some dodgy fekker from Internet. You may be, though.

You're right. Who'd wanna come here, anyway. No one bothers with visiting North Wales much- apart from the residents or some occasional visitors. And even they get ticketed for parking offences FFS. Wrong in my book. Our local councils should be giving out at least £10 Fairtrade Welsh Food vouchers for authorised/unauthorised parking instead of giving out fines, because at least such people bothered residing in/visiting this yawn inducing place.

Oh, shut up, you figment of mere imagination!

I don't live in Wrexham, anyway. Nor does Ellie. But it's not that bad there. There're lot of nice people living there, and you should be pleased to know that a lot of them are BTLs for uni students.

, but there aren't any travellers that I've seen around in Flintshire, although I know that some of them ring-fenced an area in Deeside. Apparently Paddy (some traveller who won BB once) got arrested in a pub there for fighting with people. I won't live in Deeside area even if travellers didn't live there.Anyway, you can talk! You live in Salford, and you have a cheek to say this-that about North Wales?? HA!
