Good advice folks - thanks. Henry's college tutor is aware of the situation so here's hoping it'll all end now.

PS. My daughter did a 2 month South America trip and had a really good time - including a hike up the Inca trail. Her only problem was when Barclays prevented her from drawing cash from a hole in the wall despite her telling them about her travel plans.
