PRIVATE sector workers - what pay rise did you get this year?

Pay frozen for the next three years, two grand taken off our shift allowance and over time rate cut from 1.75 to 1.5.

Just glad to still have a job.

no pay rise for me either, not had one for 3 years now.

I'm a qualified sparky and I was earning more 10 years ago than I do now

You are wrong .... my company have had 6% + payrises for those who deliver consistently - like I said, it is performance related .... I could have received more (or less actually) - if you are a low performer you receive 0% ... the top performers get bonuses too.

Working 37 hours a week including some unsociable hours I get paid around £200 a month more than if I didnt bother and went on benefits due to having 2 children!
