Yes, no point in bothering whingeing and moaning about it on a car forum which seems to be your favourite pastime.
If I want something sorted I will go out of my way to get things done as I mentioned in my earlier post.
Would you? Would you ****. You'd just sit on your **** and cry about it.

Listen up my fellow peasants of the earth.
Everything is ok,..........as long as..
You keep doing your 9-5 in a monotonous job that you hate.
Keep getting robbed of 20% of everything you earn to aid the terrorists.
Keep smiling.
Don't ask questions.
Go shopping and buy things you don't really need.
Be worried about the economy.
Be worried out potential terror plots
I'll say again,don't ask questions.
Still keep smiling.
Do as your told.
Believe everything the puppets tell you.
Do more shopping, the economy needs you to shop.
Do the above and everything will be ok

I think this is it in a nutshell. Some people here think that because of the attitude we adopt we are somehow blinkered. That we can't see what goes on around the world, ie the vested interest groups, the corruption, the political manipulation, economic inequalities perpetuated by those in power etc etc.
They believe we are their intellectual inferiors because they think we are blind to all these things
I enjoy winding them up further by telling them how my mate George is making Britain boom again
But the bottom line is there is just no point constantly (and I mean constantly) moaning about things on a little visited car forum. Constantly putting down this country and its institutions.
It's childish, self centered, attention seeking and frankly fecking boring. And to think this is somehow standing up to the powers that be is just insane.
Make your voice heard when it counts and the rest of the time do the best you can and enjoy life.

No offence, Chip, but why should somebody need to give details of what they might have done in life to some stranger on a forum, just so they have the 'right' to have a moan?
I understand where you are coming from, but sometimes it's just relieving a bit of frustration having a whinge. It alone won't change anything, I would imagine we all know that, but this is a discussion forum and as such, people talk about stuff and it's a given there will be some moaning as you put it amongst the chat.
Maybe you should be proactive with regards to them irritating you and just stick them on ignore.

As a politically aware creature, you should be able to moan or smile at political occurring in this democratic piece of earth. You don't have to provide any evidence for it, like some SN capitalists and other bullsh1tters don't put up their CVs and bank statements here to prove their side in favour of their 'privacy'. People can take it as all talk, nothing to show for- if they like.
To be fair, even if you weren't any party rep etc. in your Uni, it doesn't mute your voice as a commoner. Voicing itself means doing something. It's just that your voice has to be a reasonable one, then you can lobby other sheep. Other than that, when the moaning is repetitive, it gets some people's goat bleeding. That's all.

Who quoted the word 'hypocrisy' in this thread? I think it was f1. Plenty of hypocrisy on this thread, I agree.
People need to have a long look in the mirror before they start ganging up on someone, and start harassing him to 'prove' for what he has done.

I was only asking, no harm in that. If he wants to spout off , at least be able to back it up. As i said I was only asking, it doesn't bother me in the slightest if he wants to keep it to himself, maybe he's ashamed of what he did , we all do silly things when we are young.
To be honest, my point was more a general one, not just about Jeff. You (and Ding) have taken issue with people 'moaning' on this thread from the start and I just think it's a bit unfair to have a pop at people for voicing their feelings and suggesting that people should provide evidence of what they may have actively done in life to change things in order to give them some right to complain (again, not aimed just at Jeff).
Just my 2p as a fellow member, and someone who likes to moan when the mood takes me.

1) Nobody is saying that people on an open forum do not have a right to moan. We all do it, some of the best threads start with a moan
However some people just go on and on about the same things. They do this even when the original topic is in no way related. You could start a thread on Elvis Presley and a certain member would some how bring up the subject of BTL landlords
Another member can't seem to write anything if it doesn't contain the words 'lying scumbag politicians and media, this country is doomed etc etc'
It's their right to write what they like but then it is equally the right of others to question this.
2) As for ganging up and asking somebody to prove something;
This was in direct response to RA Dunk who said (I paraphrase) that he was not prepared to be like me and just sit back and be 'reamed'. To me this suggests that he does something proactive about these issues that concern him so much, or is planning to do so.
I quite reasonably asked what it was that he does that sets him apart from 'reamed' individuals like me.
I am still waiting for an answer.....
