Jackpot mate, sounds like you dropped onto a beauty, I would still recommend you get the esl daughter board and have it mapped otherwise there may be some tears down the line.

Sounds like a sound investment there chap, good choice! Good to hear you enjoyed the drive home - the further away the better if it's solid :-)

Nice looking car, glad you're pleased with it. I really recommend getting it fitted with an ESL and mapped. I had mine done last year by Racedynamix £550 supplied fitted and mapped (at home). The difference is night and day.
I'm in Essex too. Sometime next month I'm going to need a few tweeks to my map and was gonna call Duncan. Maybe get them done at the same time?

Good luck with the car

Oh and there's a healthy Subaru "scene" in Essex.

Good choice. Now enjoy it as it is as these cars can swallow all your money once you go down the modding route.

Lol at sonic, stop egging him on.

You won't need a baffled sump unless your planning on doing some track days, I would advise a set of gauges so you know what's going on and the remap to be on the safe side, not really for any power gains but to avoid det and lean/ rich running issues, one or all of which is probably why it's had a rebuild in the first place.

You have a really nice car that's got some very choice engine components that are easily capable of running 450bhp, but you do need to make sure it's all running sweet.

Go easy on it until you get it mapped, use ONLY V Power or Tesco Momentum, have it mapped on the one that is most common in your area, make sure it's good and warm before you take it above 3k rpm, (takes at least 15 mins) and go easy on it for a mile or so before you turn it off and all will be well.

Personally though i'd not go above 3k rpm until it was mapped, but i'm a nervous soul having paid for two engine builds.
