I was very fortunate that there was no trackside furniture to hit, and very lucky that I had a passenger on board who had the incredible presence of mind, while I was trying to straighten the car out, to knock the stick out of gear and saved my engine from a severe screamer.
Cracking circuit that

The 60MPG statement might have been tongue in cheek (can't believe 3M fell for that) but aye it spun on the spot. Weirdest thing I've ever encountered and I've witnessed some crazy things in and around cars. Once had ICE set on fire whilst driving, couldn't see a thing... people were screaming at the side of the road.

Once my exhaust fell off from the downpipe, I placed it on a path then resumed driving and on the way home saw an old fella on ladders with an hedge trimmer...

please explain how an awd car did a 360 spin on the spot, only way it would be possible would to dump the clutch at high rpm on full lock.

it would never do a 360 spin on the spot by mistake.

you really are a fantasist, dont tell me you were in a street race at the time too

TBH I wasn't impressed by what happened. It was very wet, slightly uphill with a slight curve ahead to the right, I dipped the clutch took the revs to around 4k and fully let the clutch out whilst simultaneously hitting full throttle and ISYN it spun!!!

I'm guessing the front wheels were on a wetter patch of ground.

Double quoted for prosperty, lol, So let me get this right, you don't speed or misbehave on the public highway apart from dumping the clutch at 4k and doing a pirouette on a VERY wet road approaching a bend/curve which is going uphill....not accounting for the camber of the road what did you expect to happen ffs

I wouldn't call 0mph speeding. 4k isn't too crazy a launch going uphill in a long ratio'd WRX!

I like how a long negligible curve with clear vision for 500 yards turns into a sharp bend. Very TT of you!

I drive like a grandad, all you Danny Krueger's won't corrupt me!!!

1) it's classed as dangerous driving and driving without due care and attention

2) A long ratio 1st gear and launched at 4k on a VERY wet public road!

3) where did I say sharp bend, You've described/worded it differently once you have been questioned on it.

4) you are a ******* idiot...Who is trying to be clever but coming across in a...errr very different way, IMO of course

I'll leave you with it...enjoy

I've dumped the clutch in mine at circa 5K Rpm, in the pissing down rain. All it did was spin all 4 wheels for a bit, then went in a straight line for just under 13 seconds as expected.

I must be doing something wrong.

yep I dumped the clutch and planted the throttle on my blob in a greasy wet car park, just lit up all four wheels on the spot.

Did a similar thing in the type r pulling out of a junction and got a bit of fish tailing but it was never in danger of spinning.

I can't believe half the crap I've read in this thread and it's all come from one person......

60MPG out of an Impreza that does 360 degree spins, but drives safely whilst racing off at the lights but wouldn't dream of speeding around corners, good job you don't sped round corners if you can make your car spin 360 on the bloody spot!!

Sounds like your either A) A troll B) 12 years old trying to be cool c) Just full of crap or D) Your Michael Knight and your Impreza is really KITT

They will on ice lol.

This rs matt chap must be a bit of a pleb to loose control at 20mph!

When i bought my car a previous owner had fitted linglong tyres to the front and sunfull tyres to the rear. Obviously cheap **** tyres, but even with those on its a struggle to get the rear end out, so much so it only really happens in the wet when launching out of junctions....

But that killed the gearbox lol

So either his car is a cut ant shut, or a bit bent underneath... Or the operator is just a spastic...

OMG you are all as thick as each other on this forum.

So basically I was drifting from a standing start aiming for a sharp corner clocking 60MPG with no brakes. The reason there was no actual movement forward in your fantasy is because you were all in the stages of REM.

LMFAO.

I think the reason my car spun around is due to the direction of my BOV trumpet

I did make it clear it was a WRX and not an STI? The STI series is the most reliable car ever made. No STI has ever made a mistake or distorted feedback. STI's are all, by any practical definition of the words, foolproof and incapable of error."

It was only a couple of months ago you posted your race "hit list" listing cars you have raced with a little win/loose chart...

Aye odd spirited blast from a junction etc to the limit or drag win/loss, not what the rest of you McRae successors have got up to!

I drive 60mph on the Motorways, have never cornered higher than the speed limit and have never hit 100 mph, even on the strip my (13.7) terminal was just 96mph.

My only moment of madness was too many revs on a wet hill and the car turned around like it had seen an STI coming the other way. Do I hate STI's like Billy though?

On the contrary, I have a STImulating relationship with RA Dunk and the 3M obsessed Tubby. My mission responsibilities range over the entire operation of the strip, so I am constantly occupied. I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all, I think, that any conscious entity can ever hope to do. "

I ain't trolling, my car does some odd things but thinking about it well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error.

Attributable to a bottle more like. Or a good dose of trolling.
