And again I point you to the inadequacies in your own definition. If having a work ethic requires carrying out work for works sake, not for money/shelter. Then anyone who doesn't carry out voluntary/unpaid/unrewarded work has no work ethic.

 

I'm not sure how that conclusion follows. It's not either/or, one can be paid but still value the work as an ethic (the work ethic), this is different than an contemptuous attitude that some cultures or classes have towards 'work'; one earns money because one must but the work can be shameful or taboo even (work is ethically bad).

Good few from Eastern Europe go to Italy,Porto Torres etc,my ex being one of them,and her best mate,and her mates,and so on.
Soon as I mentioned coming back to UK,noooo its too cold and rains all time...couldn't really argue with that.
