Thanks mate appreciate it

Well I've been looking at a set of eibach springs from scoobyworld should lower it by 25mm

Also what's your opinion on brakes ? As I'm only going to be running 300ish is it worth getting brembos ? Or shall I just uprate disc and pads ?

id get brembos, emmas wrx has similar mechanical mods to what you're doing plus brembos and coilovers.

its a great little road car now, i wouldnt bother uprating the wrx brakes if you have the money for second hand brembos.

I can't wait for it to be finished

Brembo's all round? Or will just a front set up be ok ?

nah just fronts, rears are a pain to fit to a wrx as it involves custom handbrake shoe set up.

not impossible but hardly noticable braking wise and not worth the money really.

most of the braking is done through the fronts anyway.

pah good luck, over £2k for them but the previous owner put them on so they didnt cost me owt, they do look ****ing awesome and they really do stop the car well but @ £2k+ i have to question if they are that much better than a cheaper ap-set up

you could do the kit in bits by getting the calipers from a breakers then get either alyn@asperformance or ian@godspeed brakes to make some mounts for them

discs wise they use the 355mm ap 2 piece kit same as the ap upgrade package then the pads have to be custom machined.alyn has one of my old pads as a template

i should imagine that doing it yourself would be alot cheaper than powerstations price + their after sales service is garbage.when i wanted replacement pads they said i would have to wait for them to get about 10 people wanting pads to warrant them getting them made..............

brembos will be fine for fast road use,if you really want the porker set up drop alyn or ian a pm regarding prices etc

hope this helps mate

p.s @ 10 years old now if you get brembos it may be worth sending them to ian for a stripdown and clean, new seals etc and fresh paint

Just a quick thought mate, check your injector seals are ok before you take your car to pauls as he won't fit them if the seals are no good for obvious reasons.if they look a bit past it get some new ones IIRC there is 3 seals per injector

Little update Friday will be purchasing a Harvey trick up pipe as I think the combination with the turbo will be fantastic

Also I've booked my car in on the 20th of feb and arranged Duncan to map it for me on Monday the 24th, it's booked in to have all the performance upgrades fitted along with, service, cambelt water pump and oil pump fitted thought it was better to be safe than sorry as it's hit 60k

Really looking forward to this
