Didn't see that. Did think that it was an odd sort of post.

Just reread; Dunk humblest apologies for misconstruing your post.

Yes, I tied panic buying with bad weather and panic buying xmas food together.

Same thing at the end of the day really, no need to panic buy considering these supermarkets are practically open all the time nowadays.

Typical trick of the media to distract the public attention from the real problems in society and keep the sheep hypnotised.

I'm selling eggs like you wouldn't believe. My private customers can't get enough of them. I seriously do not understand why the whole country goes mad at Christmas? Is it just more of a habit thing these days?

They and The Daily Mail seem to be trying to out storm each other.

Care full, there's a few people quite defensive of the Met office on here, personally I think they are a waste of time given how much they are given by the Government.

Let's say they do predict correctly and the press report correctly
What on earth are we gonna do if some hurricane strikes
Or we get the big freeze minus 20 ,

They say be prepared , yep I'm prepared to turn the heating up if it's cold and must remember not to nip out in a t shirt

As for the hurricane all I can think is remember not to nip to the shops in my high sided vehicle ,

Today's Express front page:

"Month of storms to batter Britain"
"Weeks of flood misery in store, warn forecasters"

Strange that I can find no forecasters saying that

I'm certainly bored with horizontal salt spewn rain, with the odd sunny afternoon interlude.

Bring on -15 daily temperatures for a while, if that's the alternative

It's wild down here; very high tides, massive swell (watching it from bed after throwing up all night!), hail, thunder, storm force winds. The Atlantic is doing a fine impression of Armageddon!

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying we aren't having some bad weather, but it's Winter so no massive surprise and I have no idea why a) The Express makes it front page news every other day and b) why they always say it will last for months or weeks and make it sound like Hurricane Katrinia is coming!

The law of averages, given Winter in the UK, is at some point we will get some wind and flooding..... they just predict it every other day from October till March

That's why I don't read the Express!
It's often quite severe here but today is quite exceptional; fun to watch!
