No mate. Mines more the other way. The lower bolt on whiteline droplink is hard up against the oem arb. I couldnt take a pic last night unfortunately as battery was flat on phone.

It did seem too wide. The droplinks are on a hell of an angle. It is black steel arb. I presume its standard.

Ill get a pic. Wont be till Saturday.

 

This was the problem I had with mine

IIRC I had fitted the arb, then went for castor increase (pin flip, bushing change & spacer blocks, but left the blocks out in the end. Then the bar fouled the control arm

So, have you changed your arb, or just increased castor and now thw the DL fouls?

 

Just increased caster. It has standard arb but whiteline alloy droplinks. Arb not hitting the control arm on mine. Problem is the droplinks are now learnt back so far that arb is rubbing on droplink near the 90degree bend on the bar. Cheers

 

I had the same problem as you bonesetter, although mine was only just touching.
I ground about 2mm off the arb to get some clearance

 

So Bonesetter how did you clear your arb from the lca?

 

Am i right in thinking that because ive now swung the lca further forward and round slightly, this has meant the lower mount for the droplink has moved round so far as to hit the front arb. To look at the droplinks thay are on a hell of an outwards angle.

Is the wagon front arb much narrower in overall width? Maybe if i fitted the less wide bar it might miss the droplink.

I do not really want to go back on the mods Ive done, like flipping the pin back to standard and tightening the rear mount bolts as far to rear as poss.

All the Americans complain about is that after adding more caster their tyres rub on arches! My car cannot be the only one with this problem. Some photos of the americans car show the wheels well forward in the arch. Mine are hardly any differnt to look at from the side.

Puzzling me.

I was in lengthy talks with Whiteline as to how to sort out the problem I had, including head office in Scotland (pretty helpful tbf), a staff member I know, and an ex designer...! None could figure out was going on!

I tried a wagon bar, and then WL sent a sedan bar for me to try, still it didn't fit (there wasn't too much difference in widths), so in the finish I bent the end of the bar...

All sorted now! After trying all different configurations of bolts and whiteline spacers we got the ARB to clear. Happy days. 4 wheel alignment next, then new Yokies on.

For anyone thats interested Ive fitted-

Whiteline offset caster bushes
Flipped the black pin for max caster
Forced the rear mounts as far forward on their bolts.

 

Your bottom pic of the DL alignment looks totally fine

So, what do you think was at the bottom of it?

 

It was the way the whiteline droplinks were fitted(correctly) before we started messing with the caster angle etc. The droplinks were on a hell of an angle from moving the wheel forward. We then moved the spacer washers about and it all sits much better.

 

What thickness spacer did you settle on?
