I think some just take it all a bit too seriously/personally.
TBH with the quality of some of the recent members, or should I say lack of quality members, it's better they do effff offfff to subaru swap shop or FB, I don't think we will miss them too much.
It may seem like internet snobbery but if a person can barely string a legible sentence together i'm really not interested in what they have to say, dicklexsixs aside, p!ss off and text speak to your m8's.

Got to agree with the op in this, I've not been a member long but have recently stop going on here much due to the aggressive drivel and unhelpful comments . Don't get me wrong a bit of banter is good but it just goes too far sometimes, no wonder most newbies don't stay around for long! I have posted before and then waited for the slagging off....not good

Ask sensible questions or present a problem to a group of enthusiasts and you'll generally get sensible advice and maybe provoke a healthy discussion from people with different viewpoints.
Come onto an Internet forum and start spouting off you're going to get ripped, that's human nature unfortunately. Most of the people who received any flak on here have asked for it.
Go on some of the other forums if you want to see how unpleasant people can be, this place is hugely civil if you ask me.

Well you're new and came on here knowing very little, sporting a car with a failing engine. I'm not aware that anyone's directed anything non constructive in your way?

It's like any group, be it a work place, club, pub or whatever.... you need to ingratiate yourself to the regulars.
If you ask for advice and ignore it or think you know everything and post like a smug know it all you are going to get criticised (which, in fact, is why this very thread exists)!

The classics are just about rusted away now
Another couple of years will see the only ones left that cone out at the weekends
To be polished and preserved
Bugs and blobs are too dear yet for the txt speech gang
Hawks are going pop
New age hatches are too dear to tax and then you need 5k for a new non chocolate
Engine so within 4/5 years we won't need the grammar police
We will all live in harmony and will laugh at threads like this

Just a quick 'thank you' to all the contributors over the past 3 months, and especially to this thread.
My daughter's undertaking a course and is currently studying Sociology.
She's entitled this term's paper "Human Interaction in Cyberspace".
She might be on her way to an Honours after this.
