I think some just take it all a bit too seriously/personally.

TBH with the quality of some of the recent members, or should I say lack of quality members, it's better they do effff offfff to subaru swap shop or FB, I don't think we will miss them too much.

It may seem like internet snobbery but if a person can barely string a legible sentence together i'm really not interested in what they have to say, dicklexsixs aside, p!ss off and text speak to your m8's.

Maybe some do take it too seriously I agree but it is also those who are aggressive and insulting that do take this forum too seriously in the first place!

Sorry but that comment just reminds me of school when the teacher says "who started it" and both kids point at each other.

Well you're new and came on here knowing very little, sporting a car with a failing engine. I'm not aware that anyone's directed anything non constructive in your way?

Ask sensible questions or present a problem to a group of enthusiasts and you'll generally get sensible advice and maybe provoke a healthy discussion from people with different viewpoints.

Come onto an Internet forum and start spouting off you're going to get ripped, that's human nature unfortunately. Most of the people who received any flak on here have asked for it.

Go on some of the other forums if you want to see how unpleasant people can be, this place is hugely civil if you ask me.

Good post

It's like any group, be it a work place, club, pub or whatever.... you need to ingratiate yourself to the regulars.

If you ask for advice and ignore it or think you know everything and post like a smug know it all you are going to get criticised (which, in fact, is why this very thread exists)!

Need some advise-
If I take my 17" wheel off on the front passenger side and replace it with a 15", will that make my car go faster when turning left at speed?

Don't be stupid!!! Everyone knows you need to replace BOTH fronts with pram wheels, that's what makes dragsters so fast!

The classics are just about rusted away now
Another couple of years will see the only ones left that cone out at the weekends
To be polished and preserved
Bugs and blobs are too dear yet for the txt speech gang
Hawks are going pop
New age hatches are too dear to tax and then you need 5k for a new non chocolate
Engine so within 4/5 years we won't need the grammar police
We will all live in harmony and will laugh at threads like this

Just a quick 'thank you' to all the contributors over the past 3 months, and especially to this thread.

My daughter's undertaking a course and is currently studying Sociology.

She's entitled this term's paper "Human Interaction in Cyberspace".

She might be on her way to an Honours after this.

If she analysed your famous Danny Boy from Crawley rant in the same way we did she'll be achieving a distinction
