SCOOBYNET HAS GONE TO THE DOGS LATELY
Is this a suitable spot for a simple synopsis?

Yep
It's early afternoon now, so you have to spell correctly
2:00am you are safe from the spelling/grammar police as they'll be in bed with their hot water bottle for company.
Anyhoo, synopsis: Erm. Paddy is having a Paddy, LWC is a nosey git. I think that about covers it

...and you're full of your own self importance, now that about covers it.
Let's clear up a few things,
1, I ain't ever and don't intend on being bankrupt.
2, I'm nothing to do with scooby projects.
3, never ripped anyone off !!
4, hopefully never bored the bollock$ of other members !
Most of all I don't have to do anything which you are TELLING me to do. This is an open forum where members are able to speak freely.
And please!!!! Don't threaten me !!
Like i posted in a earlier comment, you haven't directly affected me. I just can't abide the long winded posts, containing incorrect information and the fact u get involved in people's business when it clearly doesn't concern you !! This isn't just me either, I've spoke to quite a number of members who's back your also getting up. And a small number of moderators agree with me !
Tell me a bit about yourself anyway, have you owned a garage ? What do you do ?

1. - I never said you were. I'm glad you aren't and I hope you continue clear of that.
2. - I did actually ask about AJR Performance Ltd, Scooby Projects Ltd and any directors or Secretary of those companies.
However, your statement regarding being "nothing to do with scooby projects" I'll take as meaning 'never did, never will' and also include Keith Brian Rigby in that, so thanks for that.
3. - I certainly haven't implied that you have but again thanks for the reassurance that Subaru owners and SN members can trust and rely on you.
4. -
. I think you actually mean 'off other members'.If that's an indirect reference to me and what seems to be a growing misconception then looking at some of the posts I'd have thought the very opposite. Apart from my targets everyone else seems to find it entertaining - amusing even - in some way.
This is an open forum where imo members are allowed to speak too freely.
Self-policing is a good thing if everyone does it.
Moderators don't get paid for their time and without them such forums would implode in a very short time.
Stimulating conversation - even with barbs - is one thing but vitriolic abuse has the corrosive effect that this forum is experiencing.
When you say that "Like i posted in a earlier comment, you haven't directly affected me" I take that as clarification that I wasn't involved in any way with the fake tow hook and as such I consider the matter closed.
I'm sorry that I haven't noticed the earlier post you mention but of course that would have been superceded by any later one. People are also free to change their minds.
You are quite right that you don't have to do anything I tell you to.
But you have done quite a bit I wanted you to anyway.
Now, to answer your questions:
Yes, I've owned a garage. It was part of a house we used to live in.
All my others have been rented though.
OKAY - HUMOUR - DON'T chuck the screen
I'm not going down that route and take the mickey because imo you've got a genuine annoyance and not some sort of hate campaign against me, so I'll respect what you've asked.
I've never been in the car business in any shape or form.
And what do I do?
Stand up for myself and anyone else who asks for help.
I'm a troubleshooter.
In my semi-retirement I'm a Personal (unpaid) and Small Business (expenses only) Advisor.
Being what I am - in all senses of the phrase - has put me in the position I am today, again in all senses.
I'm a member of this forum because of the success I had last year in defeating a one-sided witch hunt that Stalinist courts would have used as a model. That lead to owning a Subaru, which 'entitled' me to be part of a community, membership of which I thought would enrich my semi-retirement, where I could learn new things, acquire not just knowledge but build relationships, friendships even.
I thought this a diamond, but like diamond mining you have to wade through tons of ****, in unfavourable conditions in the constant self-belief that eventually there will be that glimmer of light that makes it all worthwhile.
Anyway, as you can see, I'm aware of what's required, I'm more than prepared to face it and we'll have the answer to your question.
Imo it was going to the dog, a modern-day Cerebus, the three-headed dog that guarded the Gates of Hell in Greek Mythology.
One dog with two heads already identified and lopped off from my perspective.
And fwiw I don't regard you (or anyone else) as the third.
(Unfortunately I was in too long today, and got to hear the clock striking two.
It always starts me off
)
GOTCHA !
So, you're "a Subaru specialist garage ......, knowing the ins an outs of business, and how hard it is in this climate to keep the doors open, I have overheads of £3500 per week before we even break even."
So, tell everyone one here one more thing - have you ever left Subaru owners out of pocket to the tune of over £60,000 when you've applied for voluntary bankruptcy?
Oh - and have you and your business been the subject of a thread on here where a considerable number of genuine, hardworking people who entrusted their hard-earned cash to someone who let them down?
Oh - and it IS something to do with me.
A SN member has asked for my assistance, and I'm providing it.
It's clear from your post and the thread you refer to that I am the subject of that particular fly in your ointment.
It could be contended that this entire thread started by you is aimed at me.
What you are going to do now is this:
YOU are going to post on here that I am not the person you have identified as "a nosey Parker pops up and says to the buyer " hey man, you know that tow hook is a fake !! " bearing in mind, I'd removed this from a breaker. The tow hook says benen ind, so advertised as such. The guy was just out to make somebody look like a mug !!"
Failure to do so will result in me taking this up with Site Admin (if it hasn't already been picked up upon) on the grounds that it is libellious.
Your post has been copied and archived.
Now, I think everyone needs to know this, in the interests of openness and transparency:
Do you have any association with AJR Performance Ltd, Scooby Projects Ltd, Keith Brian Rigby, the subject of a bankruptcy order issued in the Hereford County Court in February of this year or any of the Directors and/or Secretary of those companies?
Since you've stated that you have a garage to run and therefore it isn't to be expected that you'll be online until the end of business hours I'll give you until midnight today (29th Nov 2013) to make the required response(s).

This makes no sense , you cant complain about what people are saying about you on a forum , then turn round and say "I can say what I want , its a public forum"
I think if anyone has a problem with anyone else they should just ignore it and it'll get forgot about alot sooner than creating a thread all about it , dragging it on.

My local forum was (imo) probably worse than here, especially when you consider there were a lot less members. It had it's good points don't get me wrong, but cliques would form etc. and truthfully that will happen in pretty much all aspects of life, again, to some extent or another.
This is also true. Whilst it's easy to get frustrated, annoyed or even upset by said banter/abuse depending how you take it, it can be understandable how it arises. We have a search function that seems to often be ignored, hence some threads are repeatedly being posted and over time, older members get frustrated themselves. Enough so, that we have lost some knowledgeable members over the years as they just got fed up, and that in itself is a shame (regardless of their personality). That combined with the likes of text speak/ illiterate posts, a defensive or abusive attitude when a comment is made that the member doesn't like, so on, and we end up with an unhappy atmosphere.
That said, newer members shouldn't be subject to abuse either. If longer standing members think a post is not worthy of a decent reply, they should just ignore it. If they feel they have to post, perhaps it would be better if they could do so in a way that is perhaps a bit more diplomatic than sometimes happens (even if I do see where they are coming from) but that again still goes back to the point that newbies need to be open to being 'helped' and not get straight on the defensive.

Here here! Everyone has got to learn somewhere and maybe some questions that are repeated obviously aren't as simple as they seem for everyone. Alot of people may only be after an opinion on something, like whats the best this that or other.we all know there can't be a best of anything but people can always say what they prefer or advise and if question is too simple or has been repeated dozens of times then you dont have to reply to question (and therefore not need to insult people calling them retards etc. Making scoobynet a moody place) Im sure someone who doesn't mind repeating their selves will answer if poss

But that's another discussion , that will never change. Anyway this thread is about something else , what exactly,
I don't know.
I wish I was an English professor so I could read and write properly to keep everyone on SN happy, oh hang on actually I'm not that bothered as its a car forum and I'd rather be in the pub, or generally anywhere else that involves not being sat infront of a computer screen.
I still don't understand what all this piffle is about?? Has someone let someone else on an interweb forum annoy them to the point that they've had to tell someone about it?
Happy christmas!
Mick

The site has been getting worse for a while IMO. People post questions and yes some people give good answers/advice but then someone starts to be a **** and the others follow. Remember, we were all newbies at stage to Subaru and even some of the old hand members will still learn things, you never stop learning or picking up ideas.
If people ask for advice on things like stickers, dump valves etc and the response is there is no advice, why bother posting bollox.
I used to use the site a fair bit but have slowly dwindled away because of the way some people are and what some say about others cars etc. I mean if you don't like a colour that fair enough, but to then carry on and be damn right rude and nasty then that makes the op wonder why they bother if there only going to get bitched about their car.
I wont be renewing my membership again on here as I can't see the point tbh. It reminds me too much of a FB group

Unfortunately the most replies come from the people that have few social skills , and they think it doesn't offend the same as usual as its the Internet.

When I was in the world of corporate business they used to send us on courses where people waffled on in semi-cryptic ovetones like that! These people were so self assured and claimed to be so successful yet they were stood in front of us in a cold meeting room tacked on to the side of an aging factory in a bleak Cumbrian industrial town being paid a relative pittance to tell us how great they were

when I am in meetings like that I cant help but fall a sleep when I am building downhole specialized tools and then going to the oilrig and running them
I am always fully alert and wide awake no matter how many hours I have already worked.
But put me in a meeting room with people talking and waffling my eyes start to blink then my head starts nodding
as I am trying to fight falling asleep then boom I am out cold sitting in the meeting LOL
It would not be so bad as I can just blend into the background but I am very bad for sleeptalking and doing crazy stuff in my sleep.
So when I wake up during a meeting I always have a good look around the room to see if anybody is
looking at me to give me a indication whether or not I have been sleeptalking during the meeting
