Without going back to the original thread the £75k price wasn't for the actual car but for another similar build and was subject to what the customer wanted, for example if the customer didn't want it as a 2dr, then that price could then drop by say £10k.
There was a lot of people poking holes in it at the time, but to my knowledge all those that say they could beat the Makinen time around the ring so far haven't. The price tag was also a little tongue in cheek, and as an advertising/discussion move it worked.
For me Revolution set out to do something, and did it. And that to me deserves recognition. 88,000 hits on youtube can't be a bad thing for a company trying to put themselves up there with the big boys.

£43k to me says they want to move on after achieving their goal and just want to recoup what they spent.

I'm not having a go at it
I know glenn personally have so for many years from revolutions humble beginnings in felling... He talked about gauging interest in the middle east for upper clients who wanted something diff to rag around ... Wether the interest was thr or not ( I don't know )

.... Good luck with the sale

Revolution said on Facebook a few days ago that this car in question cost 71k to build, iirc they were going to build ten cars for customers.

If they spent 71k ( personally I don't see how that's possible ) then they are taking a massive hit, but when do you ever get your money back with these things, unless of course it cost considerably less to build and they are infact making less of a loss selling at 40 odd grand

Why not look at this vehicles spec sheet and (guestimate) price it up...?

Assuming as a trader there would be generous discounts involved.

Dont think its the parts thats cost the money in this project(well its a big chuck of cash), but probably the research and testing thats gone in to it thats costs a fair whack, Not sure who got the ring record, but im guessing its a professional race driver(guessing???) and he will want paying(not working for free)

I don't think 40K is too far off the mark to be honest. Its a bloody good spec from what I've read (couldn't find much info on it though). Theres no way it could be replicated for 40K, id imagine you'd spend a good chunk on just the body work.

Love the power, hate the styling As a 'product' you have to make it visually different to justify the expense of the disproportionate £££££/performance compared to doing it yourself or through a tuning 3rd party, but it doesn't work for me

Love Revolution though, they're a great team and very capable as the car shows
