Thanks for taking the time to post about your custom HDi GT2 FMIC install.
Let us know how you got on in the end.
For anyone interested we are doing a once a year group buy on the complete kits for just £337 if we get enough buyers https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...rom-337-a.html

Hi All latest update I told it would take a while juggling between house conversions and work but now all thats done I've had some time on the car again, the job I was dredding turned out OK in the end which was the pipework Modification, there is some nice sections in the kit that if cut up correctly give some good economical runs
got to suss out now where the air temp sensor is going and the water injection pipe, on reflection the reverse inlet may be a better set up but for a rally car this is really fixable on event
PS yes that was a big shunt but the lads are OK - there wasn't anything left of the car!!

Both reverse and that should be fixable on stage, but the pipe to the inlet gets a lot of heatsoak hence the reason I went reverse.
I have also double clamped all hoses as kept blowing them off- one mikalor type for torque, and a jubilee type for pressure, on all hoses.
Its also the reason hairspray is part of my rally toolkit!

Do you guys have a bead around the end of each metal pipe?
I've never had a problem with pipes blowing off, although noticed the clamps do migrate so they are snug up against the beading after a few runs

OK after we got it going a couple of weeks ago on its first run, there were several issues
a water leak on the header tank, running on 3 cylinders, anti lag wasn't working, there was a leak on the power steering - nothing serious but just "commisioning type stuff", there were some issues with the plugs on the ecu as I think over the years they have had some slight corrosion on them - so we we cleaned everything up, fixed the leaks ans give it its seconf run again today
run much better bit still had issues - eventaully located the issue down to a corroded connection the air temp sensor - after that she was running sweet
heres a short vid
ooops wont load like it does the pictures - any clues anyone?
