+1 for m3.

current garage is e36 m3 evo race car and e46 supercharged 550 bhp SMG roadcar.

very happy going from my gc8 into m3 land, so much more challenging to drive well.

Ours is E46 M3 power (roughly), RWD but with a turbo and loads more torque. It's a nice little combination but needs a bit of care!

The E46 does look good though and the six pot engine seems more "right" than the later 8.

Had my 53 plate m3 for around a month now, after having a few quick scoobs and s4's etc it's nice to be in a proper sounding and rewarding driving car, i do love a bit of turbo shove but the smg changes at 8k thumping you into the next gear is a bit special, plus i can go anywhere in it, trips away, it's a great all rounder

oh and the engines gearbox diff clutch are all good for 550bhp out the box. just bolt a charger on and you have a rocket ship
