These images were copied and tagged with the user account where they were stored or created. The threshold started at 90% and worked downwards to around 30%. There were lots of inappropriate images recovered, but nothing illegal was found. I can't remember how many thousand images of Kylie Minogue were found, but she topped the popularity list.

It can't be so difficult to have plugins or filters that work in the same way.
Nowhere near as simple as that sadly. Images of this nature won't be stored with file extensions or even in an image format. They will be using compession and encryption algorithms as well as data tranlsation routines to store the data in anything but identifiable and readable formats and they will only be converted to image data on decryption with the correct keys, algorithms and software.

Do you think average Joe would be IT literate enough to employ such complex methods? The techniques you refer to are not something you learn about on a rainy Saturday afternoon with help from google?

Lets hope that Dave's intent to police the internet involves committing funding to those organisations and agencies who are in a position to track down the children in the images, identify their abusers and place them before the courts. We all know the neatly defined sovereign borders which exist in the real world, are non-existent in the virtual world.

I don't think he will want to shine too much of a light on the deep side of the internet though, as there are too many legitimate activities, where anonymity is important which rely on it.

Sorry, but I think you are completely missing my point. To deal with this issue properly the authorities need to find the suppliers of the images and to do that they need to find where and how they distribute them... it is these servers that will use said encryption methods etc. not the old pervert 'end user' living in Acacia Avenue in Suburbia!

The government (and others it would seem judging by your comment) need to realise that anyone using Google or MS to find and ownload these images is a minnow (and a stupid one) in this cesspool of humanity and wiping out a few minnows will be no more than a token effort!

They need to focus on using police resources to get to the prioducers not sanitisng the bit of the Internet where little of the problem exists!

Meh, artisan bread is just an excuse for bumping up the price. If you want a nice simple recipe for learning to bake, try this one:

Set oven to 210C

800g Strong Bread Flour.
16g Salt.
32g Whey Powder.
45g Shortening.
27g Yeast.
465ml water (body temperature)

Sieve all dry ingredients together and rub in the shortening (by hand or in a machine).
Dissolve the yeast in the water.
Add to the dry ingredients and mix to a smooth dough.
Leave to rest for 5 minutes in order to prove.
Knock back, scale in to 65g portions, mould in to ball shapes. Once all shaped, begin shaping in to final shape.
Place on a tray to prove until doubled in size.
Brush with an egg wash.
Bake for 15 - 20 mins.

You can shape it into S-scrolls, C-scrolls, spirals or any other shape you can think of.

A true baker will make breads that require a starter, such as Sourdough bread, where you need to create that starter over five days, before you can even begin making the final loaf.

As for Cameron, he knows nothing. It's another one of his policies to distract from more important subjects that he has no answer for.

Isn't that what politics is about.

And making it look like you give a **** and that you are doing something about it.
Reminds me of a cartoon in Private Eye of a conversation between two politicians,
"Hey Tony, I think it's time to act"
"How should we act George?"
"Act concerned."
