The car will be at RCM this Sat AM for a service and MOT, if it's more convenient to view it there! Please contact me via PM if you're planning to visit though.

I had the pleasure of being taken for a spin in this and looking over it. I remain very interested, but am weighing up some other options. In summary - it's a superb motor. The performance is something else
The condition really is top class, and Ian is a gent.

Sti fog light covers
Small answer: because it's a Sti !
Slightly longer answer: It came from the factory with them. What were you expecting? Have you seen something different on other Spec C's?

Hi Dave, great idea. However I'm doubled booked. It's my local half marathon on the 8th. I've already missed one this year due to injury and I've trained hard for this one.

But my T20 (Spec C) has got Type 20 covers.
The dyno print (from Powerstation, and done by 'Cookson') also says "Type 20".

All is now clear, thanks. I can only guess that the previous owner of yours fitted them. All the original documentation for mine is included in the sale. The invoice shows Type 20 handling and performance pack. My wife also was given a Type 25 fleece by Iain Litchfield. Despite her being a driving force in my pride and joy being offered for sale , neither her or the T25 fleece are included 8-).

Is the invoice from Litchfield or Powerstation?
I realise that these are searching questions but there are very good reasons:-
1) the car's been for sale a long time;
2) you mention timewasters, but they might have 'concerns' similar to my questions;
3) some purists question whether a Type 20 is a 'real' variant and support their view by saying that anyone could buy the upgrades necessary to turn a Hawk JDM into the equivalent of a Type 20 (tbh they are correct, although I'd say 'turn it into a car with the theoretical capability of performance equal to that of a T20').
PS have you considered Part ex?
When mine comes up for sale (because I can't do it justice ) I'll be looking to 'downsize' to an RB5 or forged 2.5. Releases capital without stepping off the marque
PPS GLWTS - surely someone will come along for a car with awesome performance ?

Reply to questions:
Sorry Ian, why do you say "the previous owner" of mine ?
Answer > I wasn't aware Type 20's came with Type 20 logo's on the Foglight covers. It's not listed in the Type 20 brochure I obtained from Litchfields prior to purchase (I've uploaded to my advert above)?
Is the invoice from Litchfield or Powerstation?
Answer > It's from Litchfied's. Again I've uploaded it to my advert above.
I realise that these are searching questions but there are very good reasons:-
1) the car's been for sale a long time;
Answer > Agreed. I'm in no rush, the car hasn't every had any finance on it and I'm only selling due to lack of use. £20K is a lot of money for a 7 year old car.
2) you mention timewasters, but they might have 'concerns' similar to my questions;
Answer > All viewers have been impressed with condition and performance of the car. No one has yet doubted it's history or pedigree. Only they've struggled to find the cash due to various reasons. Myself, the car and it's history is welcome to scrutiny from any prospective purchasers.
Answer > Totally agree. The Type 20 is a bolt on modification in a similar way to Prodrive's upgrades. I'm not trying to sell it on this alone however it's a known package that makes an already excellent vehicle even better. However there are not many Spec C MY07 in the UK to base one on.

Answer > Good idea, however I've been lucky enough to have owned 3 Impreza's over 17 years and it's time to move on. Due to family/work I just don't have the time for a toy of this nature.

And there you have it.
Critical questions asked and in my view properly answered.
Shouldn't be many doubters left (if there were any in the first place).
A T20's worth the premium (I would say that wouldn't I, I suppose ?).
The only thing that could spoil it a little is the speed and manoeuvering limiter, aka w.i.f.e., but since 'that' is not included in the sale it's certainly worth a look imo.
GLWTS Ian.

If I had £20k Id buy this in a heart beat white hawk spec c, with low mileage is in my eyes is the perfect impreza and tbh its priced about right for how rare/mileage/condition, but a £20k Impreza only a few will be able to afford it and you must be a subaru enthusiast to appreciate this sort of car, but I guess I can only dream for the time being!!
Good luck with the sale!!!!

I've lost count of how many times I've looked at this advert. I'm well and truly head over heels for this car! It's absolutely gorgeous and I'm stunned no-one has snapped it up yet!
I've just bought tonight's Euromillions ticket (2 infact!) and if I win you can expect a call from me in the morning Ian

As a comparison a Maserati 4200 is for sale for £5k more than this with only 15250. Whilst I love the Impreza a Maserati is more desirable.
I just think the prices that people are asking for STis (rare or not with the exception of the 22B) and Evos are too high. I'm genuinely not getting at you. If you can get the asking price then that's great. My Type R Civic sold for more than I though it was worth but then I paid too much for a hawkeye STi PPP in retrospect.

Great car, but it has been for sale for a very long time at £20k and has not sold, that indicates that not many people consider the car to be worth that much, i expect you have had offers on the car over this period of time, some of them may be in a similer region to each other, as an example if you have had three people offer you £16k for it, but nobody offer you any more than that it would seem it is either worth £16k or you keep it?
It is very nice example of an Imprezza and if you get £20k for it thats excellent and i hope you do, but you may need to face the fact that you may need to either reduce the price or keep the car.

Problem with a car like this is that its price and condition can't easily be compared to others advertised because of course there aren't many (any?), so no real benchmark.
A bit of a peculiar thing to say, but in effect there isn't enough competition on offer.

- Confrontative - labels everyone the same, so everyone thinks you're getting at them;
- Provocative - I don't think you'd regard most (all?) of us as girlies;
- Short-sighted - if you read the thread(s) re. the sale people have been pm-ing (and iIrc one was labelled a 'timewaster');
- Lack of understanding - if you read most of the posts in this thread there's been helpful advice pointing out possible reasons for the lack of movement;
Oh - and d) a number of members are trying to discretely provide that info, or at least tactfully.
They clearly know the virtues of diplomacy, unlike you.
Now then, chicken and egg time.
Who has ruined this thread - you, for the unwarranted insult-hurling or me for deciding not to silently take being spoken to like that?
Oh - and fwiw I'm not interested in buying it.
I'm just trying to help a fellow T20 Spec C Hawk owner out.
