Default Rare- Hawkeye MY07 Litchfield Spec C Type 20 in White- Low mileage FSH

SOLD >

An opportunity to own a very rare and highly regarded vehicle. A very useable power/torque band, makes this a perfect point to point enthusiast car. Whilst equally civilised for 'run of the mill' journeys too.

Despite it's JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) pedigree, it can be service and maintained using the same fluids and consumables as a UK car by UK Subaru dealers or the many Subaru specialists.

One fastidious owner from new, this car has wanted for nothing. Always correctly warmed and cooled down and treated with complete sympathy by a mature owner. This vehicle’s condition is exceptional, inside, outside and underneath & . No trackday use. It has only been run on Shell Optimax or V-Power (It was mapped on optimax and only currently has one Ecutek map- However it can now be mapped for multiple maps). Only ever washed carefully using the two bucket method and detailed twice a year using Meguiar's products. Garaged every night from new.
The only evidence of use is a few minor (re-painted) stone chips to the front(bonnet edge/bumper/wings. The rear plastic trim covering the front of the rear arches have stone chip marks on them.

No pets have ever been in the car and it’s never been smoked in. The rear seats, have probably been sat in twice!

Just over 14,500 miles from new, never damaged or repaired, it is as straight as the day it rolled off the line. It has a fully documented Subaru specials service history- ()

Always using Fuchs(Titan) fully synthetic oil, mostly done by RCM ( ) , but also Powerstation & Prosport. Serviced twice a year regardless of mileage. MOT and Tax until May 2015. Sensible insurance available from knowledgeable specialist Keith Michaels(call 0208 3291150 and ask for Gary Moulson).

Supplied new by Iain Litchfield of Litchfield Imports(01684 850 999) in May 2007. Iain can confirm the original order and that he only made between 16 – 20 of these very limited editions.

Original purchase invoice: .

It was first registered in Japan on the 19th March 2007.

Most people on here know what the vehicle is, but for the uninitiated, here’s what you need to know:

The MY07 JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) STi has several improvements over the UK/Euro version including:

• JDM is stronger 2.0ltr UK/Europe is ‘chocolate’ 2.5ltr
• Twin scroll turbo
• Nitride coated, cross drilled crank
• 13:1 STi quick rack
• Slightly larger intercooler design
• Auto and manual intercooler spray (UK get manual activation only)
• More aggressive inlet cams
• Equal length headers
• Electric folding wing mirrors
• 235 width tyres (UK get 225)
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th same as UK, 5th and 6th are shorter
• Front STi titanium strut brace
• 8,000rpm redline

Spec C

The MY07 Spec C is approx 90Kg lighter than the standard STi due to the following changes:

• Rear wash wipe **deleted**
• Privacy glass **deleted**
• Deadlocks **deleted**
• Boot trim and carpet **deleted**
• Passenger sun visor **deleted**
• Grab handles **deleted**
• Ski hatch **deleted**
• Glove box light **deleted**
• Isofix child seat fixing point **deleted**
• Underseal **deleted**
• Sound deadening **deleted**
• Map lights **deleted**
• Speakers in rear doors **deleted**
• Centre diagonal inertia seatbelt **deleted**
• Side airbags **deleted**
• HID headlights **deleted**

However, the Spec C has the following changes over and above even the JDM STi:

• Thinner lightweight glass
• Lightweight roof
• Aluminium bonnet and boot lid
• 12 litre intercooler spray bottle mounted behind the rear seats
• Different radiator and water pump
• Engine & transmission oil coolers
• Roller bearing version of the twin scroll turbo
• Rear strut brace
• Lightweight front subframe
• Performance revolving chamber fuel pump (anti surge)
• Black seats, door panels and carpet
• Stiffer chassis with revised welding
• Larger intake pipe
• Roof vent
• Smaller 50 litre fuel tank
• Smaller lightweight battery

Litchfield Type 20

The Spec C can then be modified by Litchfield Imports to become a Type 20 (Brochure here: . Apparently they did between 16-20 of these:

• 3" Miltek exhaust system with centre resonator
• Ecutek ECU remap
• 3 port boost control solenoid
• K & N panel air filter
• Type 20/25 AST 12 way adjustable coilover suspension
• Type 20/25 handling pack (anti lift kit, stiffer Whiteline front and rear anti roll bars)
• STi front lip spoiler
• Type 20 floor mats
• Type 20 badges
• 347bhp/334ft lb torque (Print out - )

In addition to the above spec, this car also benefits from some sensible upgrades and modifications.

• Goodridge brake hoses fitted front and rear.
• Additional underseal by Litchfields prior to delivery.
• Defi gauges, comprising of oil temperature, oil pressure and turbo boost. High quality pod.

• Unused original exhaust and suspension components are available

Cheers Immy, it's not been an easy decision. Change in career 4 yrs ago, company car, and growing family eating more of my free time has lead to the decline in use and hence the low mileage. Every time I take it out it reminds me why I've kept it.

It's being replaced by a mountain bike in the short term, but my longer term plans will hopeful see a Caterham, Westie or similar!

Lovely motor mate. I'm in the same position with my T25...Everytime I drive it I feel I have to keep it but getting to the point where I need the money and time of life demands it...

Great cars to own.
Best of luck with the sale.

Cheers Raj,

I've had some healthy interest already with one coming to view this weekend. I'm in no rush to sell and part of me hopes it takes a while!

Good luck with your sale too.

Sorry for the problems with the pics. I've now changed the hosting. However the pictures don't really do the car justice. I'd stongly recommend seeing it in the flesh.

Hi Quinvy, yes it's still available. I had one interested viewer at the weekend. However he's not got the funds available yet. I aim to put up more pics tomorrow.

Thanks Ian for the quick response. I think there will be many people on here, myself included, who would love to own your beautiful car, but just can't get their hands on the money at this time.
I would have thought that it would fly on pistonheads. There was a blob spec C on there at the weekend and it's not there now.

I'll be at Roger Clark Motorsport tomorrow morning for a service, if that helps any one to view locally?

Had a great early morning cross country blast(cool inlet air and clear roads) on Saturday to take her for a Service at Roger Clark Motorsport. More pics added above from this visit. They kindly alowed me to take some pics in the workshop of the underside. My car was in good company there, as Mike has just bought an excellent Spec C too!

Picture of the service book also added.

Nice car, very tastefully modified.
GLWTS.
Do you still have the original suspension as some people may prefer it standard.
