What percentage of monthly income do you guy's pay out on a mortgage?
We are looking at a place just now, but mortgage payments would take up 48% of take home pay. On the flip side we have absolutely no other loans/credit/finance etc..

IIRC national average is something like 29%.

I hope I never have to buy another one. Apart from the expense of course its all the hassle of the move. I have had enough of all that.

We are lucky to have found a house that we both really like.

I dont know the official definition of suburbs,but rows of terraces and Barratt style estates are what my mind comes up with..

Victorian terraces can be gorgeous.....I wouldnt live on a new build housing estate if it was free.What a depressing way to spend your life..

Know much about the HS2 route? It goes close to Ashley, less close to Mobberley. One big issue is that it means years of construction work, road closures etc, as they dig a cutting parallel to the M56 on the south side.
