In all honesty Andy I don't care .

It's raining so I'm stuck watching Disney with the little girl and you've helped passed a hour or so

Thanks.

This bit gets me Jack, unless they made 2 releases of IOS7, one being 32 bit and one being 64 bit, and if you can point me in the right direction as to where it says that then it wouldnt be working on anything other than the 5S as thats the only one with a 64 bit processor

Oh dont worry, found something that explains what they do, quite interesting if you want to read it

Nice find Tony, way better than anything I came across. Really highlights the dead end that Android has found itself in.

Surely if you wanted a device the size of an A5 notebook, which requires the use of a pen to be truly effective... Then maybe an A5 notebook would be the cheaper/better option.

But you can't quickly jot notes, numbers and have them link to tel apk or draw images and link to email MMS, plus many other features

You could use a notepad but you would be a Luddite

I tried the handwriting recognition in Google Translate today, I'll never use it but bloody hell it was good, easy to write with your finger - Apple have the most responsive touch screens - and it got even my scrawl right.

All 64 bit OS's have a legacy 32 bit Framework including IOS7.

When they install on a 32bit Architecture device only the 32bit frameworks are used rendering the OS a 32 bit OS.

IOS7 is only 64 bit on the new 64bit A7 chip.

Not entirely correct. The same version of iOS 7 will install on a 32 or 64bit device. That's not true for later versions of OSX which will only install on 64bit machines. Pretty sure Windows comes in two versions as well. The framework you refer to is for running 32bit programs on a 64bit system.

What makes you think that?

Here's what makes me think you're an uneducated moron. You posted to a thread that obviously has no interest to you without adding to the debate, instead resorting to personal insults. You most likely have repressed homosexual tendencies due the sexual nature of your message. You're probably OCD, you state that you keep reading my posts even though they generate negative sexual thoughts, a normal person would find something else to do.

Have a nice day.

I had the interest of knowing "is this a worthwhile, informative thread or is it a '''all Android users are morons for buying Android"' thread. Outside of the small percentage that are hardcore phone-tech users then benchmark scores etc are not really relevant to real world use.

But to answer your questions - homosexual tendencies, no. Don't get me wrong, I do realise that people like Pitt, Clooney etc are good looking guys but I never thought about banging them.
OCD - no, unless if you call always having to the flush the toilet after taking a **** as OCD

PS...I did not read all your 'guru'-like posts...just the first couple.

Uneducated - only if you call BSc, PhD as uneducated

I'd be inclined to call it a step backwards Lets be honest. Other than the nintendo DS, the stylus died out years ago.

Tbh from what I can tell the so called 'phablets' i.e. the note and the Xperia Z ultra exist to fill a market sector that doesn't really exist.

The s pen is a useful addition, not a necessity for use of the device.

There is certainly a market and quite a big one with 40 million plus sales of the earlier versions. The Note 3 being the most advanced mobile device yet, the market is ever expanding

You clearly cannot read or comprehend what I wrote.

A 64 bit OS will only install on a 64 bit machine but it has a 32 bit framework still for running 32 bit apps, The fact it will only install on a 64 bit machine is the choice of the provider to sell OS'es individually, it is just as easy to make them one package that detects it's 64 or 32 bit cpu and then installs the correct instructions for that CPU, hey presto, IOS7.

It is not only a 64 bit OS it has a 32 bit OS in the same package and is installed at whatever level suits the device, hence you claim to it being a 64bit OS above was incorrect as it is only a 64bit OS on the A7 processor.

I don't think anyone could comprehend what you said but me, hence my correcting your statement.

So you're saying iO7 isn't a 64bit operating system except when it is, very clear, well done.
