My first Scooby was an 03 WRX PPP and was brilliant when I first had it compared to a Passat Diesel but when I got the 55 plate widetrack STI 9 I really felt that I'd arrived everything just felt that little bit sharper if you know what I mean

 

Standard yes its a lot worst,the same price not really.
wrx ppp is cheaper about 2k,put that on suspension and tyres = the same cost cars and wrx ppp 5 speed will kill sti on b roads.
of course wrx is worst than sti uk next uk ver. is worst than sti jdm ,jdm is worst than s204,
s204 is worst than spec c , type ra, type ra-r etc.
I bought wrx ppp and im happy I didn't buy uk sti.
now my choice will be blob(I like that shape) type 25 spec c forged -I dont like 2litre crap.

I thought this thread was asking what was the difference between a WRX and a STI, not which is better!?

I'm not in the least it envious of a STI, who wants a chavvy rear wing and pink badges?! Lol Joking aside, I'm sure that STI owners like their cars and WRX owners theirs - for their own reasons. Mine? My WRX PPP does exactly what I want it to do. Before anyone says it, as my previous post on this thread says I could've bought an sti but it just wasn't what I needed.

and most people do want the big wing, confirmed by the number of wrx's running about with fake sti spoilers on the back.

does the wrx have a spoiler, yep it does so whats the point of it??

most people associate the big spoiler with the impreza and its what they all want stuck to the back.

you may not like it but youre in the minority, you could sell an sti spoiler ten times over but try and shift a wrx one....


I must admit I don't like the pink badges or blue interior on my sti that's why I now have neither.

 

I still maintain this is sensible.

If you're happy with your purchase why does one have to have the hassle of someone saying that you could have spent your money 'better' ?

on a serious note though, your mrs bought a corsa as she wanted a cheap run around no doubt.

people buy impreza's as they want a performance car, their choice of which impreza to buy is usually dictated by budget.

the wrx is a good performance car, but the sti is a better performance car..
