Because they are not gamers, or were gamers 30 years ago when it was up down left right fire. I found it difficult and would have lost interest. Some stages required 10+ deaths!

My missus text me from London, yesterday, whilst she was visiting friends. She'd been plating some jet-ski game via the Kinect and now wants an Xbone.

Bloody typical that I sold my last one on Saturday!

She can wait a year for the price to drop

There seems to be availability of Xbox One locally and on line. Not selling so well?

Selling very well, which is why I got out when the going was good. I've made over £100 0n each, which is better than the interest my bank account pays (anything is better than Barclay's generous 0%).

Everyone seems to have misjudged Microsoft's ability to meet demand, so now the one's on eBay are going for less than retail. I've had my ear to the ground so didn't get caught with excess stock. It's a great time to pick up a cheap Xbox One on Ebay. From the amount of Xbones which have become available, I wouldn't be surprised if the gap in sales between the Xbone and PS4 was non-existant.

The PS4 has been more challenging to get hold of, but again, as soon as they do come available, the get banged on eBay. Supply is out-stripping demand with those too.

If anyone wants a PS4, Asda are getting some in store tomorrow (but not being offered on-line from what I've been told), so chances are that a percentage will end up on Ebay/Gumtree etc, so a chance to pick up one without a huge markup.

Here's a link to the stores which will have stock from 08:00.

FairPlay on earning a bit of cash on extra pre orders, I did consider doing it but can't be hassled with the whole posting palarver and waiting for couriers etc.

What are they selling on eBay for now then?

you can get them in the shops. I ordered 2 weeks ago it came within 6 days. Fair play if you can make money on them.

Im finding the PS4 is harder to get than the Xbox, i did get one but it was a wee bit harder

Xbones are going for RRP now (and less), mainly due to ShopTo advertising their stock on there as "Buy It Now, Receive it next day" with free delivery. When you factor in a private seller needs to make £25 for insurance on top of what they paid for the Xbone, it's hard to make a profit now.

The PS4s aren't commanding the premium either. Just watching one which is only £15 above RRP. I don't expect that to go much over £425.

PS4 in stock on Amazon as I type. Only about £25 profit now after insurance for postage.

Some context to help with this:

XBO is available in 13 markets
PS4 is available in 48 markets

Stock availability of the XBO is certainly going to be a mix of market saturation and currently being the No2 console, rather than just being No2.

Sales figures are "just about" starting to come through:

XBO - 2million worldwide
PS4 - 2.1million worldwide

However, release dates have been staggered so you can't really go by anything yet.

They have both done, and are doing, extremely well.

How many did you sell?

I sold 3 Xbone's and 2 PS4's.....By the time Paypal/Ebay took their cut I dont think it was really worth it, they made 3.5 times more mony than I did.

Ebay are in a great position, they have you by the proverbial short and curries.

Not only do they take 10% of your final sale price plus any listing costs, plus PayPal commission of around 3.4% they also take a 10% charge for postage costs as well.

Makes the effort you made not worth it in the end I'd imagine.

I just wish there was a viable alternative, they take full advantage of their virtual monopoly.

Same here sold one XBone on eBay, by the time I'd paid all the fees I'd have been better off not selling it to begin with.

It was only worth doing if you had plenty of pre-orders in to fleece the gullible idiots who were willing to pay £700 plus because they couldn't get bothered to pre-order for themselves.

After having something I had planned fall through (the reason I'd originally cancelled my pre-order) I've treated myself to a Day One Forza Edition from Shop. To, arrives tomorrow

Bloody crook, used the old 'I reserve the right to withdraw the item from sale as advertised elsewhere' line then?

I had to pay eBay £55 when I sold mine for £575, thank god for me the buyer collected and paid cash that's all I can say or I would have been walking like John Wayne having been in the saddle all day.

Feeling a bit not good with the one at moment, can't think why its puzzling me haven't got the excitement for it.
Maybe its the lack of games, see my 360 games stacked up looking like a skyscraper next to my one COD Ghosts which i did end up playing way into early hours.
Thinking its gonna have to be Dead Rising,Forza purchase today, use my £15.00 off voucher, get my gaming chair set up so nice and comfy.May take a look at ps4 later....

I have been content with BF4 on PS4. Racked up about 70hrs online so far and only really played TDM. I love the Paracel Storm map when the storm kicks in. The beads of rain dripping down the screen is so realistic.

I have been playing Dead rising 3 on the Xbone, very good game IMO and will take a few bit of time to complete. Forza is also very good game if you decide on that instead.

I had some XBox points given to me and I'm trying to decide which game to spend them on, Ryse looks good but it looks repetitive and Dead Rising 3 is ok, but having played the demo I'm not sure how long it'll hold my interest.

I've got FIFA 14 and Forza 5, plus on the PS4 I've got AS Black Flag, BF4 and COD Ghosts so what game to get from my Xbox points?
