Did anyone know that the RE070's were specifically designed and produced for the Impreza?

Sure, they will fit loads of cars, but Camskill told me they were solely designed and intended for Impreza's.

Mine have arrived today, so are going on tomorrow - set of 4.

I'm not aware of them in any other size than 225 / 45 / R17 ?

I really really wish they were better suited to the classic shell without catching. Great tyres

MY05 JDMs came with 235/45/17 .. but rare as hens teeth to get them. many threads on here about shipping a container load in etc but not economical.

Fabulous tyre in the dry but 235 tramlines like billio on normal roads - 225 may be better.

the re070s were a Subaru spec tyre , they are great tyres but can be sketchy in the wet

im selling shed loads of the goodyear assymetric 2s at the mo , on general cars and Subaru wheel +tyre packages , getting good feedback to

the t1rs are good on a classic , not so much on a heavy newage

im running ...wait for it ... the new nankang ns2r tyres on my classic wagon at the mo and they are awesome

Pretty good in the wet though.
Couldn't agree more ...

Aaahh that's better, all four corners now how they should be. The difference in traction alone is blatantly obvious.

They'll run / bed in nicely to the car soon enough.

Happy again!

Couldn't agree less. I switched from the 1s to 2s and found the car much better both in handling and ride. I found the 1s 'skittish' and less confidence inspiring. The 2s have been spot on, perhaps it's subjective. Personal preference.

Haven't got a clue what they are, sorry. I'm not a tyrephile (if such a word exists).

I don't know if Goodyear do symmetrics and assymmetrics.
Google could only find assymetrics, hence my asking.

But we've since found out that a specialist in Ruislip does them as well as Tesco.

That's helped me, and hopefully you.
(Lord forbid we have to change our wheels as well )

I thought the Potenza 070 had been superceded by the Potenza S001? I've got the S001 all the way round on my car and no complaints here!

I tried camskill and they said they are discontinued :-(
So I just bought a set of the new F1 asymmetric 2's from them :-)
And camskill were over £20 (£23 exactly!) cheaper than any specialist/garage I found.so a hundred quid cheaper for the set.top guys!

Something I noticed today, not a steaming hot day by any means, but mostly dry down here.

On normal driving, when I got home I felt the tyres and all 4 were nice and warm, the Toyo's would have been no warmer than ambient temp.

I've got sessantas on mine and find them great. Wet and dry. Used to have T1r's on my classic and thought they were great on that.
