Sensible thinking from you Shaid!

Les
That other guy All said God created everything though, that would include us humans.

Your saying well maybe god never? maybe we did evolve though evolution.

Since we are talking about two different Gods here (assuming All is Muslim) which one is right?

Anyway, why are their so many Gods in the first place, Christian, Pagan, Hindu, Muslim blah blah blah.

There are so many different religions on Earth all with different Gods, which pick fault with each others religion that it's impossible to actually take it all serious TBH.

My Gods better than your God, is he **** wanna fight?

The reason I asked is because I wanted to know what YOU get out of it. As far as I am aware, people believe in 'God' because they think they will be rewarded with eternal life as long as they follow the teachings within whatever holy text that religion holds.

If i'm coming across as aggressive or offensive in any way then I really don't mean to. I feel this is an interesting topic and people should be able to offer opinions and have questions.
Oh I am more than capable of justifying my beliefs. I just don't feel you are worth justifying to.

I don't feel like you are coming across as anything other than typical atheist. Now I shouldn't lump together but experience has taught me that debating with atheists is a fruitless exercise. You go through pages and pages of sensible debate and explanations only for the to turn and make some sarky remark along the lines of 'I think it's all rubbish' or 'I think your mad' so whilst I would love to think you are different and all genuine etc experience tells me not to waste time.

However for making fun out of atheists I have plenty of time.

Shaid you are flogging the proverbial dead horse. You cannot in any way prove that the bloke who wrote your book ever existed and until someone comes back and tells us you are right you are pretty much fooked I'm afraid. One day maybe you'll find your answer.

Mohammed existing in history is not the same as proof he was anything other than a man who, well, existed.

I suppose it's slightly better than Jesus for which there is no proof, but it's marginal for proof of any of the gods you say exist.

You seem to struggle with the concept that atheists don't believe anything in the way you do. Atheism is not a belief system, it is not a religion or faith, period.

They deal only in data which supports a position or disproves it. There is no data to support or disprove God, there is no starting position, it simply doesn't get off the starting blocks.

I don't struggle with atheists not seeing the way things I do. What i do struggle with is atheists having the audacity ob making judgements towards me especially considering none of you don't even know me.I really wish atheists would stop trying to be holier than thou ******** which is pretty ironic.

In short. Nobody gives a flying **** as to what atheists want to believe or not. Us religious folk don't. We think your a bunch of self righteous ***** anyway. Please stop proving us god believing folk right!

Do you guys think any different? You believe in proof right? Same here.

Or maybe you are claiming not to be self righteous. Well, you may not be as an individual but as a collective you guys are bloody annoying. Seriously just accept that some of us don't believe in your bile and leave us in peace. Is there any need for cheap digs now and again? Remember you guys are 'supposed' to be the intelligent ones lol.

Leslie made some sensible comments about creation, yes it is something to think about how everything came along. Unique and perfect creation whether talking about humans/earth or the universe are a miracle. Who put it there? So you expect me to believe it's just there? And you claim you are the intelligent ones. I would seriously advise some homework with an open mind. I'm not arrogant and i don't want to come across that way.

Unfortunately i do not think this subject matter is a place for a sensible open minded discussion on here. There are some very far off the mark statements people are making which i'm not going to begin explaining.

I would just advise people to do some digging with an open mind and you will find the truth.

Find the truth? what truth is this? how can something be confirmed as being true without there being substantial evidence? please don't mention that book of yours as that's not evidence, it's only a book written by some bloke.

And all the stuff you believe in was never written by a bloke was it? It must have come to you in a dream.

Again. Rather than asking me that question, i would advise doing some homework. I have for 8 years and found my answers to be substantial enough to follow as the "truth". So substantial in fact that i would have loved to ignore them and do as i please but simply couldn't due to the research i had done. U have free will to do your own homework.

How do you know its the truth though? you don't. saying things like this just confirms your as brain dead and in need of something to follow as the rest.

Shaid, I don't believe in anything that has no form or has not even been proven, I might as well follow the ******* tooth fairy than any of the Gods you lot follow.

What homework do you suggest? Christianity and Islam are both religions based on nothing more than a book without any circumstantial evidence.

The difference being that scientific theories, although 'written by a bloke'. Can be independently verified.

The majority of holy scriptures (to the best ofmy knowledge) can't.

Ah right I get it. You won't believe a book unless it's independently verified by some sort of verification body.

Jeez, I wonder if they have the 'guild of verifying ********' two thousand years ago.

The qu'ran states many major scientific facts discovered over the past 150-200 years through improved technological advancement which could not have been known otherwise, especially by a man in the desert 1400 years ago when this book was revealed. I'll point you in the right direction here. Not that you will take it seriously.

Okay first challenge.

Read about the mothership.

Then go and find it.

It is there, I was told about it being there on fb last night.

The key word in your sentence was "to the best of your knowledge"

The way I see it is that there is an estimated 300+ billion stars just in our Milky Way galaxy alone and within that there is an estimated 17 billion earth size planets. Then consider that there is an estimate of up to 500 billion galaxies in the observable universe. The odds are stacked against life not existing and it is improbable that life hasn't, doesn't and won't exist else where in this universe.
