And he's gone
I think you need to look up the deifnition of ironic. I certainly don't talk like I'm back in the playground and suggest someone needs a '****'.... what a pathetic, childlike and frankly unintelligent retort!
That is a matter of opinion, which I also guess is another that many won't share your point of view. My comment was tongue in cheek hence the smilie, I can't help if you have a sense of humour failure. If by calling me a 'ten year old' is your best educated, adult and intelligent retort, well then I think it's best we leave it here, it's not an order, just a request which you're free to disregard, in which case you can "talk to the hand....."
That geezer with beard was shamelessly smiling when he was looking through the plane window.
Apparently he has his lawyers straight on the game over there, trying to make his life easy. Good that it's not Britain's problem anymore.

Despite all of the effort and money it didn't affect how I slept last night, or how I spent my last couple of days. He may have his flaws and he may be a convicted terrorist in other parts of the world but was it really worth all of the actual cash and the expense of so many government employees over the last 10-years, a cost that we'll never quantify, to get him out of the country. Only time will tell I suppose

Just been watching Cameron and May trying to make political gain out of this on the news and telling us how it was a priority for this government to deport him etc. etc.
They make me sick. If it was a priority and it still took them over 3 years I'd hate to see how long something they put on the backburner would take..... they made a simple process overly complex and showed no spine when they needed to.
At the end of the day they still needed a treaty to be signed between two sovereign states before they could get rid of him .... hardly a deportation and then there's the small matter of how much it has all cost!!!
And they are patting themselves on the back! W4nkers!

As for being defensive your whole post including that cretinous coment was defensive. So maybe you need to learn to practice what you preach rather than just spouting like a disgruntled child
Ministers are now talking about the UK pulling out of all that EU Human Rights mullarky, but I say stay in there because after all the UK was responsible for it's existence, but do as the other EU nations do, conveniently ignore when it suits and toss undesirables out of the country before their feet can touch the ground.
Yes but the law is wrong and needs changing. People should not be allowed to keep on appealing... that is what needs changing! Neither this nor the previous governemnt seem/seemed keen to do it though... far easier to just talk about it!

If a person enters Britain only to start slagging it off the obvious question is why did they come here in the first instance?
If it was to escape persecution then it is highly advised to show some gratitude.
If you can't keep your mouth shut don't complain when you are asked to **** off somewhere else.
Because we -the British-people- seem like a soft touch it only emboldens those who spout hatred against this country.
I second that.

Exactly, if someone is being persecuted then welcome but please be grateful. People like me who work bloody hard and pay taxes to give you a house, food and safety. And don't tell us we are evil and that our women should cover up (it's summer any it's great they are wearing less
)

How ironic given the comments you frequently post about others who don't share your point of view.
Sounds like you've hit a raw nerve...
