I'm not sure how much interest he would need to make the PU ones but I'd take one off him...

He isn't going to do it - I spoke with Chris and he has volume sales of thousands for most of the PU splitters and he can't even guarantee enough sales of the prodrive splitter to break even after making the tooling so it doesn't make business sense

Spot on mate, thanks for the link. It looks like it fits well and doesnt hinder the bonnet closing.

Looking really good Harrisard, I personally love the alloys & stretched tyres, but then I would because I have a set of white Rota Grid Drifts ready to go onto my white hawk ;-)

Gave the old girl a coolant change this morning using the method where you refill via the hose that goes from the header tank to the rear of the engine and all is good just waiting for it to cool down so I can check the levels!!

LOVE your car and what you've done with it, styling and tuning wise.

A bit surprised about the map though, is that graph from the final map?

I would have thought it would of made more torque, and come in earlier. What did Duncan say about the graph?

I've had maps from Duncan in the past, hes good.

Thinking about getting some gt spec headers or match my harvey up pipe but don't no if it will help out much at my power level!!!

I'm pretty sure it was you I brought the front mount kit from!!

Oh yeah! I remember you now :-) You came round to pick up the FMIC!

I've read, so don't personally know, or know anyone that's done it for that matter! That the GT spec headers would only be worth it once you've gone over 400bhp.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable and experienced will be along to confirm in a mo.

I'm subscribed to your thread now :-) looking forward to the next update!

Just awesome! Love the look and sound of your Bug. I am set to hopefully pick mine up on Saturday after a bit of a wait, not as clean as yours but I'm hoping it'll be just as much fun.

Car is a beast.

What dump valve are you running in the Snet vid as it sounded sweet or is that standard recirc just with your huge filter?
Cheers, Craig

Ah I did wonder as it gives a lot of chatter on gear change.
I suppose it's ok to run like that with the turbo you have fitted then as I don't know which ones are fitted to them as standard as have only ever heard of one or two that are ok running like that.
Either way though, sounds epic!

Something to strive for with mine when I get it

If yours has the standard vf35 fitted I run mine dv less for some time and with the vf48 with no ill effects at all! But the td series turbos are pretty bullet proof! Sounds better now that video was with the vf48 fitted the 20g is more high pitched

Do love that sound. I know not inherently good for the turbo which is why I've not really ever gone that route with previous cars but it is a lovely sound

Had a strange noise coming from cambelt area that after some investigation turned out to be the crank damper pulley which had worn through the cambelt cover and was grinding on two of the cambelt idlers so was a lucky boy and caught it just in time!!

You can see in this pic where the pulley has been rubbing and how much the centre part has pushed through as that should be flush with the outer part!!

New cambelt fitted now and all idlers and tensioner replaced!

Just waiting for new belt cover and lightweight pulley set to turn up!

Also fitted my cold air feed which I've been meaning to do for a while
