This is ours. Gone from an Impreza Turbo with mid 300 torque and not missing it to be honest. It's a different kind of fun! Wanted to buy the BRZ for sentimental reasons but, back to back test drives revealed that we preferred the ride of the Toyota version.

How do you find the noise with the standard exhaust?

I thought the demonstrator I tried sounded a bit too Yaris, so ordered mine with the optional Milltek exhaust

MrsD was well impressed, as can be imagined

Hardly any sound at all from the standards, it does miss the flat four rumble, I was really expecting to hear it....

It's be sat on our drive since last September and I have yet to have a good old rummage around the engine bay, Mrs S is very protective of her baby... Lol

Think I'll "check" the fluids this weekend and have a look

It's too quiet for me. Exhaust is next on the list for changing. Probably a Milltek non-res. Will be listening to a few at a meet this weekend, there are many options out there.

The Perrin exhaust from Aus comes closest, to my mind. the rest are "raspy". Abbey Motorsport are fiddling with stuff to try and get a deeper exhaust note. They are also doing a turbo. Fensport already have a turbo'd car they race.

I have the Milltek non-resonating system, you don't get the burble of a classic turbo, because as tubbytommy said they have equal length manifolds, but you do get a nice unobtrusive growl that becomes a spine-tingling howl when the revs build

In fact, it sound very similar to a cross-plane crank Yamaha R1

I wouldn't mind having a go in one, the look ok, but on the other hand my diesel Golf has probably got just as much poke. I'm not sure I want to drive a 'sports car' than can be raped by most SUV's.

That does look great.

For your wheels, you might like to try this stuff:

I've been using it recently and it's very impressive indeed.

Very nice car, looks the part (thanks to Toyota) and does what it was designed to do which is allow the driver to have fun. It may be slower than an Impreza, but compared to the current Impreza styling wise it's a work of art...... much rather have one of these on the drive thanks... at least the neighbours would know I didn't have a **** in my eye

Only seen one BRZ and that was in a Subaru dealer lol. Did look pretty cool in the Sonic Blue style colour - I assume Toyota dont do it in the colour?

That is a fantastic looking car CrisPDuck Likewise i've seen a fair few of these out and about but not one BRZ. Always get my attention when I see one.

As for TDW and the SUV comment

BRZ drives slightly different due to suspension set up - mainly spring rates I believe set different front to back. We drove GT86 and BRZ back to back before deciding which to buy and preferred the settings on the 86. I think it's more about which nose style you prefer and interior differences.

The more we drive it, and confirmed by other GT86 owners, the more it feels Subaru rather than Toyota. Almost all the parts I have come across inside and under the bonnet are badged Subaru.

Lovely car I would like one of them bit of a let down power wise as its prberly not very ecomical either I would of thought but a good all rounder if you want 2 doors sporty car with 4 seats honda s2000 engine would been good enough at 240 brake . I also prefer the toyota model . Good luck with it looks sexi

I really like these, wheels aside there great looking and for what they are there fast, I wouldn't call an Integra Type R slow so these in context are not slow!

Me and the misuses have toyed with the idea of one of these or a 370Z?
May have to have a look about properly except she keeps turning her head to A5's

Litchfield's supercharger kit ready yet ?

P.S. That new motor has been messed with in the US of A and the results are very impressive. In a childish sort of way
