not correct, they proposed a change to the T&Cs last year that would have allowed them to use photos...there was a massive negative reaction and lots of people threatened to or did leave so they recanted...not to say they won't have a go again

I'm one of those weirdos; can't stand all the ****e on FB...Instgram is just photos and your mates, simple

Think you ight wat to read this:

UK.Gov passes Instagram Act: All your pics belong to everyone now

It's f**king outrageous!!!!

Of course it's a thinly veiled way to make money by charging creators a fee to own what they should already own!

that has been stealthily applied and is pretty naughty.

...think I'm still safe, or relatively so as my account is private and unless you are an authorised follower you can't view my photos

Cheer up Oldun, you miserable sod!

I'm not a Facebook lover either, but there's nothing wrong with food pictures to post anywhere.

In relation to the babytalk, I wonder when the cards from the babies started. It's a real- life social hazard. You get friends sending two cards on your birthday or on Christmases. One from them, and one from their new baby with baby's forced handwriting (parents have done it by making the baby hold the pen) or their forced foot/hand print. IMO only close family should be put through the discomfort of going all awwww about this sort of absurdity. Certainly not friends who aren't interested in that false display of love from the oblivious baby who doesn't give a hoot to your birthday or Christmas. In fact, it doesn't even give a damn it's own, even when it's parents turn it into a silly Christmas pudding, fat Santa or a reindeer with cheesy Ebay costumes.

Some peeps force their cats and dogs to write cards as well. That's also equally bonkers.

I've been receiving a card from my sister-in-laws horse for some time now .

On another note, a slice of lemon is pretty gay .

Well, you are her family, so you can take the torment. Friends need not. It's not an awww factor, it's an arrrrgh factor for friends.

Oh, right! I never knew that. What do you recommend? A slice of orange, or a something weird like a slice of beetroot or even a... you know, ginger or something?

So, when the kebab man drops his pictorial leaflet into your letterbox, do you say to him that he should stick the whole pizza or a burger in instead, because you prefer the real thing?

Man, it's only some scrumptious food pictures for amusement, nothing sinister.

We never have regular Sunday roasts. IMO It gets boring if you have to eat them every Sunday. Some have them regular, and that's cool.

Your eyes are bigger than those potatoes, DYK. Although there's always more potatoes and veges to go with food like that, I can imagine you wanting more until your belly pops.

It's about 6 years since I've had a Sunday roast.

That's a record time without a roast.

I occasionally do cook roasts at home, but in last two weeks, I had one when I was out at Cheshire Oaks. The potatoes were so evenly roasted and delicious; served with tender chicken and fresh vegetables. I should have taken a picture to stick here- just to please our Oldun.

You can just see this thread being used to post food pics just to wind the poor bugger up.

I only like dinners cooked by my Mam, probably because I'm so very fussy and she makes them just right. If she was to make me one, I'd eat it.

Easily achieved when using frozen, ready roasted spuds. You only need to reheat them.

I know. Oldun needs to lighten up.

Mum's dinners are the best. The last one I had from my mum was a long time ago. Perhaps in 1993. She's now too ill to cook anything at 73. I shall cook for her next time I see her.

Yeah, but that's the thing. They were not frozen ones. They were fresh, but very evenly roasted. I think they had the oven with even heat from every side.

That's exactly what I mean. Unless you've been in the kitchen and seen the spuds being prepared and cooked, you can't guarantee how they get the even finish.

I know of several leading chains of restaurants which serve 'freshly cooked vegetables' where the roast spuds are chucked in the deep fat fryers, the carrots are already cut in to batons before they arrive. Even the stuffing ***** go in to the fryers. The easiest way to get that even cooking all they way around is to throw them in to a fryer, that way every surface is cooking at the same time, at the same temperature. They are a speciality of the Chef de Ping.

They sure are.

I'm sorry to hear your Mam is ill, I'm sure when you cook for her, she'll appreciate it and you'll do her proud.

At least he doesn't email me on false pretences.

I do like munching on a real Kebab though.

I thought there was a report recently that said people who posted pics of food had mental disorders.

I really don't get the moaning about facebook thing. If you don't want to hear form people, remove them...simple. It's all about managing what you see.

I am interested in most of the people I follow, and it's the first internet site I look at in the morning.

I recently went to Hong Kong (upper class darling) and ate some odd food to say the least.....of course I posted pics! However I didn't think people would be so interested in the food I ate at Hard Rock.

I love seeing my freinds holiday pics, and I am pretty sure they enjoyed some of the pics I posted from Hong Kong.

PS Recently a study siad that anyone who didn't have a Facebook account was trying to hide something...... I must look for what that is or was the study in fact done by..... Facebook

Sometime I look at ebay first, to see if I can buy some clapped out motorcycle parts/bike.

To be fair, I know I'm sad though.....but to continue a trend.....
