03 2.1 forged stroker wrx for sale
#42
Just so you know - the 5 speeds will take quite a bit of abuse; don't believe all you read, unless you spend a lot of time doing drag runs or hard launches.
My 5 speed was working fine after circa 15k miles (hard use/ track days etc) with 440bhp /380 ft lb and that was on a 5 speed AP organic single plate clutch (which is still going strong now 8k miles on in a 6 speed 495bhp car!).
So- to help with the sale - anyone out there could buy this car and get it turned up to say 400bhp/350 ft lb and have a cracking reliable car with no serious additional expenditure.
No connection with the seller just correcting some misconceptions about the 5 speeds.

I don't drag at all infact it rarely gets driven hard at all as nearly 35mpg will testify! Lol
The only reason it had to be rebuilt in the first place was due to an idiot of an mot tester putting it on a 2wd roller for a brake test but didn't find that out til later.
I really don't want to sell and I'm in no rush, if I can scrape through this period of money trouble then I'll be upgrading come bonus time

It's a great spec and a great price and I think you're right if it was an sti with a forged build it would've sold really quickly.
I'm not 100% percent about that power level maybe someone else can help? I'd say upgrade intercooler, injectors, turbo, fuel pump maybe a couple of other things and then obviously a remap
Cheers Marc
